Hike a lot of rocky trails in AZ, this shoe is absolutely excellent. Great grip, shock absorption, ventilation and support. I like the earth tone good looks. Totally comfortable right out of the box. Combined them with some Dalgren hiking socks - icing on the cake! Normally take size 11 - had to return them for a size 11.5 which fit perfectly. Of course with Zappos, that was no problem and they sent a new pair overnight.

These are the third pair of Teva that I've owned. Good quality shoe. A little stiffer then my prior ones at first, but I'm assuming its from the Vibram sole. I use these shoes for both work (climbing on roofs), light hikes and around town. I also spend a lot of time in hot climates, and my feet don't seem to heat up a lot. The only problem I seem to have with Teva and the Keen wraparound toe sole is the spliting; these shoes have not been a problem. Great shoe.

Love ordering from Zappos. Free shipping, free returns for up to a year, none else does this. Have ordered two of these shoes for my husband and they fit him perfectly. Ordered on a Sunday and had the shoes on a Tuesday.

Fit's great, slightly smaller for the same size than the non mesh version of this shoe. I'm a normal 10-10.5 in Keen and took an 11 in this one. But 11 was too big in the non-mesh version. It's good for warm dry weather and feels nice and light but with great sole for rougher surfaces. Great for in town too.

Excellent shoe. I've been wearing them for a couple of weeks now and they are very comfortable. I haven't worn anything but Ecco for the last 4 or 5 years, so this was a big step out of my 'comfort' zone, but it's been well rewarded! They are much lighter (weight) than I expected, but that's a good thing. This doesn't seem to affect the sturdy construction either. Should be no problem wearing them all summer without overheating my feet. As others have said, order 1/2 size larger than normal, I usually wear 12/12.5 but the 13's fit perfectly.

The Teva Riva Mesh is an excellent shoe. Super comfy right out of the box. This is my new favorite shoe. I followed everyone's advice and ordered a half size larger and they fit perfect. I wear a solid size 9 in everything else, but got the 9.5 and am glad I did. The only downside is that the shoe feels like you can't tie it tight enough to stay completely put. Not a deal breaker, but just a weird feeling sometimes. I wouldn't hesitate in buying them again.

Great shoe, definitely runs small! I placed an order for size 11.5, and read the reviews after I placed the order. Went back and ordered a second pair in size 12. Sure enough, the usual size did not fit, and the 1/2 size larger was perfect, just as others have said. Great shoes though. Also, I really love Zappos, but Amazon had these in the 'sand' color for a little less.

Really like this shoe, very comfortable out of the box. Felt a little tighter/smaller than actual size but this has eased as I've worn them. I took the paper stuffing and crammed it down into the toe box of each shoe for about a week. That has helped. The size I have isn't uncomfortable but next time I'd order a half size larger for just a bit more comfort. Overall, great pair of shoes that I'll buy again.

So far so good. Had them a couple of months, done some walking and light hiking. Comfortable, with no issues so far. My foot seems to be a "large 9", so sometimes I fit a 9, sometimes a 9.5 depending on brand and cut. These fit me in a 9.5 (9 was a snug, too tight fit).

I just ordered my second pair of the Riva Mesh. I've worn the first pair almost daily for more than a year, usually with jeans, cargo pants or shorts. I commute by bike, and these shoes give me good support on the bike but aren't too sporty-looking for work. Out of the box, they were a bit tight but not unbearable. Within a few days they loosened to comfort. However, after a year they've loosened so much that they never seem tight enough no matter how much I pull on the laces. Otherwise the shoes have held up great and still look good. For over a year I've gotten good value out of these shoes, so I decided to buy another pair.

Great fit and comfort, perhaps the best walking & hiking shoe I've ever had. One major problem occured well before anything else even began to wear out. After about 100 days of wear the soles of each shoe separated from the bottom of the upper portion of the shoe. As this happened, within an hour both were flopping. I was hiking in a port area while on a cruise...limped in, threw shoes away. Would never buy another pair. Perhaps having been made in china, with no quality control is the problem?
