The Zappos video sold me on this shoe as far as looks go. I was afraid a sandal meant for rugged outdoor use would be ugly and clunky, especially in the Dark Earth color, but this looks great on me (and I'm a size 11 with a big foot). You wouldn't wear them to high tea, but they certainly look feminine enough to work with a casual skirt. The uppers are brushed leather sewn to a man-made liner that's wonderfully stretchy. The whole shoe sort of massages your foot as you walk. Great overall flexibility from heel to toe. With a few minor exceptions, which I'll discuss in a moment, the Neota felt comfortable right out of the box. The weather's not quite warm enough yet here in beautiful upstate New York to test them walking around outdoors, but I've been wearing them around the house and I imagine they'll be comfortable all-day walking sandals. They seem pretty rugged, though I see one reviewer experienced breakage after two months' wear. The Teva website states that there's a one-year warranty on their shoes, so she should contact them for a replacement, or get in touch with Zappos' outstanding Customer Loyalty Team for help. I can personally attest to the fact that Zappos will stand behind anything they sell, to a degree I doubt you'll find in any other retailer on Earth. Now, to the negative points. The ankle strap digs in a tad on the front, if I cinch it enough to keep it from slipping, but as far as I can tell just from wearing them around the house, it's nothing that would raise a blister. After wearing them a while, I don't even notice it, though when I take them off there is a bit of an indentation on my foot. Front and back of the ankle strap are adjustable, as is the toe strap, so you can get a pretty good custom fit. The instep is raised and uncomfortable on first wearing. I almost thought I'd have to send them back but oddly, after wearing them a couple of times it didn't bother me at all. The rise gives excellent arch support which is hard to come by in a sandal. The footbed is well-cushioned and a bit bouncy, throws you a little off balance for a few seconds at first until you get used to it. It gives you a nice bit of lift with every step. Overall, I give it five big ones on style but I do withhold one star on comfort just because of the front strap rubbing. Minor, but it's there and if you're thinking of buying you should be aware of it.

I was excited to buy my first pair of Tevas. I had heard many good things about the brand from my friends. When the shoes arrived they looked stylish. Unfortunately, the shoes were not completely comfortable right out of the box, but in a few weeks of daily wear they felt great. My biggest disappointment is in the craftsmanship. Within four months the stitching on the front straps began to unravel. For the cost of the shoe I expect more.

I wore these sandals on a two-week tour of Europe. They were my exclusive shoes for walking, and I put many miles on them. They never chafed or rubbed my foot in any way. They are also very lightweight and pack fairly flat in a suitcase. These are great travel sandals. They are very adjustable thanks to the Velcro straps over the forefoot, ankle and heel. It took a bit of tweaking to get a perfect fit. I have short, wide feet, and usually I have to wear a 7½ shoe, but the Neota was so wide that I was able to wear a 6½. If you have very narrow feet, these sandals may not fit you as well.

This is my first time trying a sandal from Teva, but it won't be my last! I had ordered and returned about 8 pairs of shoes (thanks for your patience, Zappos) before I tried the Neota. All the reviews sounded promising and they weren't wrong. This is a really comfortable shoe. I have a whole variety of foot problems - bunions, narrow ankles etc., and this sandal works really well. The three adjustable straps help you customize your fit and the neoprene lining makes them soothing against your feet. Of course the cushioned bottom helps keep you on your feet all day. Great shoe!
I'd also recommend: Clarks, Merrells

I needed a pair of "water" sandals for an upcoming trip to Panama. I previously purchase a pair of Keens to wear but decided I wanted an "all around" dressier sandal to take. I order the Teva Neota in the color beluga and was very happy with my purchase. They are very comfortable, good arch support (which I need) and will look dressy enough to wear with black slacks. They are more comfortable than my Keen and Ecco sandals. I was worried from that the arch support would not be enough since I always use Orthaheel inserts in my shoes. The foot bed is very soft and cushiony. I can wear them all day and my feet, knees and back do not hurt. The lining inside of the leather strapping is very comfortable with no rubbing or chafing. This sandal is wonderful for my particular foot issues - a wide forefoot (bunion), high instep and overpronation. My only problem will be not wearing them out before my trip. They are definitely my favorite sandal now!

Just loved putting these shoes on my feet! Took them out of the box and thought, well these are going back. Wrong...very comfortable, and no breaking in. My feet are swollen and wide, and surprisingly they even work on my feet!
I'd also recommend: Birkenstock, Birki's
