Great looking, but chafes - My six year old son loves this sandal -- the straps almost look like hot-rod flames. But he says that they rub him a bit. I would not worry about this, since most new shoes will cause a blister or two at first, especially sandals, but my older son got the Hurricanes, and loved them right away.

Tevas are the best - they are worth the cost. They hold up for a whole summer looking like new, and when they get stinky they can be washed. They fit both my older son with narrow feet and my younger son with wide feet. They do run about a size long though. The size 12 fits my son (who normally wears a size 12.5 in Stride Rite Shoes) with room to spare. The straps are a little stiff for little feet at first - takes a little while to break them in.

These shoes are great. I’m a smaller adult, and I find the kids size 6 fits great. They are very comfortable and durable. I wear these when I kayak or go to the beach, and sometimes when I go hiking. They are machine washable. This is great considering how dirty they tend to get as mine are used on all sorts of terrain (mud, salt water, etc). I’m sure these would be a great sandal for children, especially active ones.

Excellent sandals. My son lives in them during the summer. I just buy the same pair every summer except for the larger size. They wear extremely well.

As rugged as our 4-year-old...This is the second pair of Teva Hurricane IIs we've purchased for our youngest son who literally lives in these sandals four months out of the year. They have endured countless hikes, trips to the city park, Big Wheel adventures, beach excursions, pool dunkings, and camping trips. He can get them on and off his feet by himself and they're grippy so he can "go really fast", which in his world makes them perfect. They're durable, fully adjustable, and very cleanable, which in MY world makes them perfect. Awesome kids sandals!

I am an adult and purchased the kid size Tevas because normally I can wear boy shoes sized 5 or 6. They are the same great Tevas that I've worn for many years; however, the sizing for youth has taken a turn. The toe strap is tight and the length of velcro to adjust for sizing is short. You end up with an adjusted toe strap with more fuzzy side of the velcro showing than not. The ankle strap is a bit shorter than older models also; however, the older models were made for ankles larger than mine, so the youth sizing worked good on that strap. The foot platform is a wee bit wider with a wee less cush than what I was used to.

I bought these Tevas for my son. This model has always been his favorite. I chose a size based on the Zappos foot measurement chart and they fit perfectly and he enjoys this newer version of his older model just as much as the previous versions. He seems to get about 2 years worth of wear before he needs a larger size. The sandals are indestructible.

Love these Teva sandals! This is our second pair! After two summers, my rough/tough 7 year old son out grew the first ones, but did not out wear them! He wore them every day and every place we went! The adjustable straps are also great for wide feet!
