Toe is super hard which is awesome for hiking. Tred is great as well. At the same time the shoe is hard packed and not good if you want to do any running. It's more geared toward a good hike where you may run into harsh rocks and maybe some rain. For that it's perfect.

100% water proof is what I wanted and these are just that. They are, however, hard packed and not great for trail running. If you’re just looking to slug the trails these are perfect.
