The cushioning under your feet is very comfortable and bouncy when you first start wearing the boots, but it quickly becomes permanently compressed, after which there is essentially no cushioning and the boots are much less comfortable to walk in. In the first winter I had these boots, one of them started leaking and I had to exchange them for new ones (haven't had another winter yet so don't know whether the replacements are going to leak). They're warm and cozy, but not so comfortable to walk in once the cushioning wears out, and the leak would seem to indicate that quality is an issue.
These are really cute, but the shaft of the boot is wayyyy too tight around my calves, and I have pretty average calves! It feels like they're cutting off my circulation! It's a shame, because the rest of the boot is so warm and squishy.
These are adorable in a ski resort and my ten year old daughter got tons of compliments. They are not for walking long distances, though, they are not that easy to walk in but feel great.
These boots are fantastic. They're warm, comfortable, stylish and have good traction. When visiting a friend in an Alaskan village I met A Native lady. She liked them and surprised these were Moon Boots (popular when I moved to Alaska in the 1970's). She asked to buy them. Mine had been the last pair where I purchased them, but I found them on Zappos, so I left my boots.
I love these boots! They do expand somewhat with time as other reviewers have mentioned, but if you are okay with re-learning to walk a little bit differently it's no issue. They are super warm and waterproof, not to mention fun! I actually look forward to rain and snow now so I can bust these out.

They are the most comfortable slipper type shoes you will find. They are a lot on the lines of Crocs.. However, I am sorry to say the boots do not last very long. I don't even wear them outside and already the gum shoe is wasting away to the point of I will not recommend them. Years ago they were a stronger substance.
I love the shiny look. They are great for jumping around in snow, but not so much for just walking around in cold weather. I purchased these boots specifically for a ski vacation in Austria where we would be doing a lot of walking in deep snow and they were wonderful. My feet stayed super duper warm (and I am always cold!) Bur the sizing is sorta strange, each size covers a range (i.e. I wear an 8½N and the size I ordered covers from 7½-9). So, with my narrow mid-size feet the boots were somewhat ginormous on me and even after tying the strings very tightly my heels still slipped slightly. Overall they are absolutely worth it! They are snow boots, not meant to be perfect fitting riding boots. I say buy them!
Love these boots! They are very warm and my feet stay completely dry, no matter how much snow I'm in or how long I'm in it! They are a little wide, but overall very comfortable.

I love these boots. They look exactly like the picture and are just as comfortable as other Moon Boots I own. The only thing I have noticed with these is the part around the leg is much tighter then my others so the only thing that has hindered is what pants to wear with them! Otherwise they are true to size.
These are fantastic boots. We go through a pair every couple of years but they are worth every penny. They are very lightweight but keep out the cold better than any other boots we have found. We live in the mountains of Colorado so snow on the ground in feet is just a way of life. Would definitely recommend.
Fabulous snow shoes! These are the original classic design from the 80s. Tenica has so many other designs (some with different textures) so I encourage you to check those out. But these are the classic design and I love them. Lightweight and stylish but the soles are heavy-duty with excellent friction for snow or rain. One thing about the size, it's a size range, not a specific size so choose your size carefully.

These boots are just as amazing as they look. I am a size 9 1/2 usually, so I wasn't quite sure what size range to go with when ordering them. The smaller size (where 9 1/2 was at the top of the range) was a bit too snug around my calves, so I returned them and got the bigger size. My only "beef" with these is that I still wish I had a bit more room in the calves. But...I love these boots! These are the coolest shoes I have ever owned!
Love these boots! Super warm and comfortable. Worked two 9 hour days at ski resort and my feet were very happy!
I wanted these boot so bad I finally ordered them. I wear a size 4 in little boy’s shoes so I bought the smallest size for women because I wanted the rainbow pair and it is not available in the youth size. I received my boots today and they were too big and the top part was too small for my calves. I now have to return them. I am disappointed because they do not sell the rainbow in the youth size and I am not sure if they will even fit.
I truly adore them. They're huge, eye-catching and so warm. Platform-esque lift keeps feet away from the ground & warmth in. Notes: There is no 'left' or 'right'; remember/mark them so they wear in consistently. Tight around calf even when not tied. String ties slide down easily. A bit noisy (sounds like walking in snow even if you're not). Big foot 'pocket' makes walking long distances a bit awkward...but fun.
Very warm and comfortable shoe! Already second pair. I got them in black and white. I would like to get them in every color. Easy to clean, water resistant.
I love my moon boots! Work great in snow and sleet. My feet stay warm and dry, may even sweat a little. True to size, they are as wide as they look but not so wide that I fall over or roll my ankle in them.
I really want to love these boots, but I have only had them for about a solid month and they are already getting my feet soaked. I generally only wear them into and out of work, so I could not have worn them out all ready, especially when my last pair lasted me over 5 years.
I'm a Size 7 Narrow and my toe was right at the end of this boot. It felt a little wide as well but most likely I would wear a thicker sock with these anyway. Sending back for a larger size. My only concern is how do I drive in these. Anyone have a problem?
I wore these for the first time today in 16°temperatures with wind chills of 0°. I was late and did not have time to slip on socks and was pleasantly suprised. The boots themselves are as clunky as the pictures indicate but they are very warm and comfortable. The only thing that disappoints me with these boots in general is the shaft. It is not as padded with down as I would have liked and even with ties slipped down my leg. I am 5'10" with relatively thin calves but not to the degree to which these boots slipped down. I wish there was more padding to keep my legs warmer but I was more worried about my feet and they were wonderful. My husband hates these boots, but I love my boots and have more pairs than I would ever admit! So after all this blabbing, I do like these boots for their originality (I had several people comment on them) and foot care. But if you have calves that are not too large be warned that they are not great there. I hope I helped (Zappos you never fail to make me happy!).
