I am on the search for the perfect bootie to wear with skirts and pants. While this is a very pretty shoe, it is a little too pointy for me thus a little too narrow in the toe. Also it is really stiff around the ankle. Perhaps it would soften with wear. Heel is perfect height for walking around the city. It does run a half size too small. I returned it and am now going to try Sudini\'s Tasia bootie.

Basic boot, fit true to size in foot, but calf was too tight. I have tried on hundreds of boots in my quest for the perfect boots and I have never had a problem zipping them to the top. I had to struggle with these boots to get them zipped all the way. I will be returning for this reason. I own Uggs, Hunter, Kenneth Cole and many other boots and have never had this problem before.

Do not order this shoe. I wore mine about 6 times and the leather split! The fit and comfort and look were fine, but the quality was terrible! This is the worst purchase I have ever made! Too bad I can't give it zero stars.

These are very stylish shooties. I took the advice from previous reviewers and ordered half a size larger from what I normally wear, plus I ordered the Wide style since I tend to have wider than average feet. They are fairly comfortable overall, the only problem I have had is that they make my pinkie-toes sore. These are a great shoe for the price, I wear them at least twice a week.

I have big feet, size 12, so it's always a struggle to find good looking shoes in my size. These boots are both stylish and very comfortable. I recently brought them on a three week trip throughout Europe and not only were they comfortable, but they kept my feet nice and warm and held up great. The elastic lacing up the back is amazing because I have one calf that is larger than the other and each boot fits perfectly on each calf. I don't usually wear a wide size, but I ordered a wide based off of the other reviews and it worked out perfectly.

Beautiful and comfy. My calves are very wide and so the boot fits me differently than in the picture. The elastic strips stretch to two inches up top, but it still looks great. I modified mine by having the heel knocked down slightly and the sole rubbered.

I have these in the brown "burnished" calf and they are very attractive and extremely comfortable. I have several pairs of Sudini boots, and these are the ones I wear most often with pants and jeans. I haven't had them long, but they are already broken in, and it shows slightly in creases at the ankle. Still, a good buy for sure.

Great boot to wear with pants. I have a long narrow foot and the boot fits a little wide; however, with socks it will be good for the winter. The heel is a comfortable height and the style is terrific. Many thanks Zappos. It is impossible to find narrow boots and shoes here.

This is a very cute shoe, but unfortunately, it\'s not very comfortable. There is a lot of pressure on the ball of the foot when you walk, so I added a pad there, which helped. I do wear a 10 1/2 Narrow, and I\'m always excited to find good looking shoes in my size. The fit is good otherwise.

I bought these boots to wear with skirts because I thought they\'d look great, and they do. They are just gorgeous. They haven\'t been as comfortable as I\'d hoped though. When I first wore them, I was pleased that they fit my calves but by the end of the first day wearing them, the skin around the zipper was sore and bruised. My feet have been a little sore in them too, but I am not sued to high heals so I would probably attribute this problem to that. I am hoping that as they I wear them more, they will get more comfortable. They look so good, I\'m willing to work through the early discomfort!

Great color & comfort. I love the chocolate vintage color. The boot itself is sleek and makes my wide feet look slim. Fits over my 15.5" calves without even using the stretch panel. One note: this may be a slim fit if you err toward the WW side of wide. I found this just a little slimmer than most wide shoes, although it likely loosen up with a little time.

Very attractive shoes, but disappointing in quality and comfort. \r\n\r\nI got these shoes in brown and black, and they go with everything. However, I need to return the brown pair because the soles are pulling away from the uppers after wearing them for only a couple of weeks of light wear (I sit most of the day at work). Once the sole started to pull away, a chunk of sole broke off completely. Now, the black pair is starting to look shaky too. \r\nEven if they were holding up well, I would be a little disappointed in these shoes because they are pretty uncomfortable. I have average width feet, but the average width shoes are pretty tight in the toes, to the point where my toes get cold from poor circulation. I take them off the moment I get home. \r\nI was surprised and disappointed in these shoes, because I had another pair of Sudinis that I absolutely loved. I wore them to work literally almost every day for several years, and on weekends with jeans - they were so comfortable and attractive, and they they held up beautifully under these conditions. \r\nI like Sudini very much, but these shoes were uncomfortable and poor construction.

Great looking and pretty comfortable, but run small. I wear a narrow size 5, and I needed a 5.5 in these with socks. Have received lots of compliments on these.

I just received these boots. First, Zappos was amazing with their fast shipping. I had ordered the wide size because my feet are very broad from the front. They fit like a dream, no cramping of my toes. I am measured as actually being a "medium/regular" shoe, and I think I could have gotten the medium (not wide) size in this. But I also have very skinny calves and narrow ankles, and I really didn't feel like this boot was very flattering since it had almost the same diameter at the top and bottom. It fit reasonably at the widest part of my calf, but was loose over the rest of my calf, and was huge at my ankles. Style-wise it is your classic riding boot. The lack of details or accessories on the boot means it'll never go out of style. But it's more of a functional than a pretty boot. The sole is a thick rubber that looks like it will grip well in ice and snow. And it is supposedly waterproof. I think this is why the leather feels less supple than other boots I own and doesn't look quite as rich. Overall, if you want a very pragmatic, no nonsense, comfortable boot, this is the way to go. I don't think it is a good choice for anyone with very large or muscular calves or anyone who has skinny ankles, but if you have medium legs with average sized ankles, this would work well. Overall, because I don't like the shape of the boot on my calves (and for this price I need to really like the boot), I'm going to return these.

After an exhaustive search looking for any knee-high boot that would fit my calf (15 inches), I landed on this one. I just took them on a two-week trip to Paris and wore them almost the entire time. They fit nicely and have a metal shank in the sole which really helps prevent fatigue. The style is versatile with skirts and pants alike, and the leather is breathable yet waterproof and has a high quality luster to it. Because of the elastic goring along the back of the shaft, I am able to tuck jeans and pants into them comfortably. I would highly recommend this classic boot. I removed the insole and inserted a Dr. Scholl's one for more cushioning at the heel, and the fit was still perfect. I only did this because I was clocking some serious miles in them. For everyday use, the included insole would probably be fine.

After reading all the reviews, I ordered a 6.5 wide because I thought I might get a wider shaft, although I always wear a medium width (my calves measure 15.75 and I wear a 6.5 or 7 shoe). I could zip up these boots, but maxed out the elastic bands in the back. They look kind of cool when they aren't stretched out all the way, but I thought they ended up making my calf look even bigger from the back, like a laced-up corset, which is not the look I was going for. Also the wide size actually felt narrower than my usual medium width, uncomfortably so. The foot fit well when I took out the insole, but then the lack of padding was uncomfortable. Seemed to be a lovely leather, though, and well-made. Just not a good choice for those with calves as big as mine.

Waterproof, but scary on wet surface. Zappos is great and I loved this boot when I got it, but now that I have worn it just enough to wear a bit of the heel wearing them is suicidal. This week I slipped on wet pavement on the way to work on wet pavement. On the return trip walking through downtown Seattle I fell twice! Once on the sideway, and once when I picked up my pace crossing the street. When I got home I looked at the bottom of my boot. The heel is plastic. Hard black plastic that when just a little worn is deadly. Other than putting body and limb at risk they look great, feel great but now I have expensive boots decorating my closet.

Beautiful quality shoe, however, it seems to run at least a half size smaller than stated size and also narrower (the Medium/B width). Unfortunately, Zappos didn't have the next half size larger that I needed, so I had to get it elsewhere and I did order it in the Wide/C width; the 1/2 size larger and wider width fit perfectly.

Beautiful boot and great general fit; however, the leather of these boots is very stiff, specifically on the boot shaft, and there is no contouring, elastic, etc., for any "give" when you walk. Thus, the shaft digs into your shin and calf as you walk despite there being ample space between your leg and boot shaft when you're not walking.

Beautiful boot! Fits very true to size, heel not too high and leather is very supple. My only comment would be that the brown color is darker than what is shown in the photo (photo probably lighter to show the great buckle detail). The fact they are on sale and weather resistant means they are keepers for me.

I have had other pairs of Sudini boots in the past that I really liked, so I had high hopes for these. But when they arrived, I was so disappointed! I normally wear a 5-1/2 wide or extra wide shoe. These felt too narrow in the foot and too short, also. I was going to exchange them for a size 6, but I agree with the others who say the ankle is too wide. It looks sloppy when you walk. Weird fit. If they came in an extra wide and the ankle fit more snugly, I'd be a happy lady! I'm sending them back and hopefully will find another boot that fits and looks fashionable! Help!

All Sudini shoes are great. I have a pair of sandals that I bought in 1997 and after lots of wear they still look great. These booties are just as well made. I took the suggestion from another reviewer to order a wide width and it worked out perfectly. I don't usually wear a wide, but both pair of Sudini are wide and fit very well. I was delighted to wear this shoe; comfy on the first day.

Gorgeous Boots but... These boots are gorgeous, so beautiful, hot! They are the boots of my dreams. Well made, great eye appeal. However the stitching on the inside of the boot crosses over the top of the big toe large joint. Extremely irritating; too painful to keep. I hope Sudini makes this boot without the heavy stitching across the toe joint. Sudini boots are good quality and are the most beautiful.

I seriously love these shoes. These are definitely 1/2 size smaller than usual. I normally wear a 9AA in boots or pumps and the 9.5N fit perfectly. Since the toe is a bit rounded there’s plenty of room in the toe box and the narrow keeps the heel from slipping. They are perfectly snug without being too tight. The brown ones were darker brown very much like the picture. They’re made beautifully and are really comfortable right out of the box with no breaking in time required. They look so great with pants and skirts. I wish they were a little more pointed, but that’s just my preference. I still love this shoe and am going to order the black ones as well.
