I figured that this shoe would be a real winner, but was surprised by how rigid it was. What you can’t tell from the photo is that the top microfiber section is quite stiff. Because I have a high instep, it really cut into the tops of my feet. I may try wearing them around the house with an extra pair of socks to see if they open up a bit – it’s a great shoe in terms of wedge height, width (I have a very wide foot and the 9W was perfect in with). Would be great shoe with pants, but if they don’t soften up, they will have to go back, alas!

Not comfortable at all. Had to return twice. Ordered this shoe in a wide width thinking it would be a better fit with a thin pair of stockings for winter. Very uncomfortable part of the shoe is where the patent leather side hit my left bone above the arch of my foot, was very painful, left me with a cut that is still healing. I do not recommend. Walking in them burned the bottom of my feet.

Most comfortable shoe ever. These shoes are great with slacks or a skirt. It feels like I am walking barefoot. The pictures don't do them justice; they look great, I get a lot of compliments. No doubt one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever purchased. They do run a little small; I wear a 9, but found the 9.5 was a perfect fit.

An elegant everyday winter shoe. It seems much more attractive in black than in brown. I ordered an 8, my usual size, but in wide, and it seems much too long. I liked the width, but it definitely runs large. The only uncomfortable part of the shoe is where the very stiff patent leather side hits your bone above the arch of your foot. That will need a LOT of breaking in. \r\nI will probably end up keeping La Canadienne\'s Gina, which I am comparing this shoe to, even though, this one has a dressier heel.
