The Stride Rite Nicolette style is the cutest wide shoe I have found. I have bought them for my daughter three years in a row in multiple colors. They are great for school, play and dressy occasions!

I bought these shoes for my 3 1/2 year-old daughter and she loves them. The minute they arrived she put them on and didn't want to take them off. I like the brown patent leather color as a nice change from black, as I think they look equally great with both dresses and jeans. I also like that the insoles are very cushioned and I love the velcro strap so my daughter can put the shoes on and take them off by herself. Ordering from Zappos is great; products come quickly and returning/exchanging is a breeze with free shipping on the returns.

This is the first pair of Stride Rites that we've not been 100% happy with. Stride Rites run wide & big in general. These don't seem to. My daughter (almost 5) loves the look of them, but they are just not comfortable for her. She's got a slightly wide foot and a high instep, and the cut of this shoe isn't working for her. They are nicely constructed & of quality materials, like every other Stride Rite we've had. But if your child has wider feet, this might not be the shoe for her!

As always, Zappos got me the shoes the very next day. They are great at that. The shoes are exactly the way they are pictured on the page. Soft enough for my princess to walk to school and back. Easy to put on as it has a velcro strap that she can put on and take off herself which makes her feel like a big girl when she can dress herself, plus put on her shoes all by herself. They are very sturdy, comfortable, and true to size. I did spray them with some suede protector just to make sure they last a bit longer. I would recommend them to everyone.

Shoes are wearing very well and fit great. Great to be able to buy these in wide sizes. About the only con ... we could only get Navy color in Nubuck which seams to pick up dust on the playground.

I love these shoes! My daughter has to have a wide, and wides can usually only be found at Stride-Rite. But, even the Stride-Rite stores often only have the basic styles in wide. I love that I can order her some cute Stride-Rites in her size from Zappos. The shoe is very pretty, true to size, comfortable, and she loves that she can have a shoe that isn't black or brown! And Zappos ordering and shipping process in the very best!

Comfortable, lightweight quality Stride Rite shoe. Round toe is roomy and wide shoe is wide enough for my 5 year old with a wide thick foot. Shoe looks good for dress or play and seems flexible enough for the playground. I seem to buy this style every year.

These shoes are super cute and well worth the price. My daughter goes to a Christian school and these work great with the dress code to wear as every day shoes. She has had them for several weeks and the toe is not scuffed at all from playing on the playground, as happens with cheaper shoes. These are well worth the money! I would buy three pairs of shoes from the convenient store for as long as these will last her, and they'd look terrible after a week or two.

Very nice Mary Janes -
Got these in brown. Loved the slight sheen of the leather, the flower at the end of the velcro strap, the non-marking sole. Simple enough to be worn as basic Mary Jane for school, yet still pretty to pass as a dressy shoe. Comfy for little feet, even the chubby ones. In one word, excellent.

Dress and Play Shoe Combo -
I love these shoes that I ordered for my active three year old. She has worn them to daycare as regular play-type shoes, but they also look just darling with more formal clothes, which was my hope, as the holiday's approach. The shoes ended up getting captured in the frame of our recent "Santa picture" at the mall, and they look lovely with her holiday dress. Great combo shoe. She says they feel just fine on her feet. She can put them on herself due to the easy (and also cute) velcro closure with flower design on top. Highly recommended.
