This shoe runs narrow. My son has wide feet, and even the extra-wide size it is too narrow. Over all a nice shoe, a little on the heavy side.
Brands I'd also recommend: New Balance

My son has an extra wide foot and everything that goes on his feet are "they hurt" shoes. He has always worn Stride Rite shoes because of the width of his feet and now I can't get anything else on him (even the other brands wide shoes). His only complaint is that they only come in velcro.

My son has trouble getting shoes on as well as having wide feet. These fit perfect and he can put them on without assistance. They are durable, too.

My son loves these! I'm so grateful Zappos carries these in a variety of sizes because I can't find a shoe store that carries enough wide shoes. We bought two identical pairs.
