My 5 year-old picked this sneaker out for gym class in kindergarten. It is easy for her to change shoes quickly by herself. We have sneakers with laces, but it is difficult for her to loosen up the laces, get her foot in, tighten them up, and tie them by herself. These give her independence at home and at school. She says these are comfortable, too.

Very sweet and good for most outfits. Great play shoes and because they are so pretty, they are OK with a casual dress. Fits well my daughter seems to like the fit.

My daughter has only worn Stride Rite shoes since she started walking. These shoes are, as expected, great quality, comfortable, and provide excellent support for her growing feet. The velcro straps have helped us teach her to put on and fasten her own shoes, and she loves to feel independent. The white material is sturdy and has kept up well despite the constant playground "shoe abuse" they are subject to. They've been surprisingly easy to clean and keep looking nice.

I purchased this pair of shoes for my 2yr. old granddaughter who has a wide and thick foot. It is very difficult to find shoes that fit her correctly. This shoe works perfectly; it is exactly as described and was exactly what we needed.

No flexibility -
These shoes are too stiff. My daughter tried them on and couldn't walk 3 steps without falling, and she's no beginner. And it just so happens that the insole was not put in correctly, so it's bunched at the toe. These are going back, but I know it won't be a problem. I love Zappos!

Would give it a 5 except for the shoe tongue -
This is a great shoe. My 3 year old twin daughters love them. They are comfortable as long as you don't pull the straps too tight. My girls will be the first ones to tell me if I got it wrong. Only complaint is the shoe tongue. It is not a stiff tongue so it jams easily when putting the shoes on. Other than that they are great.

The Best Service Ever!!
I have ordered from Zappos a number of times. They have the best shoe collection for people who need to work on their feet all day. I ordered online one day and I received them the very next day no extra charge. I also looked for Stride Rite shoes for my granddaughter. The price was cheaper than any stores I visited and -again, I ordered one day and I received them the very next day, no charge. Cheaper price- next day delivery no extra charge- great service.

Toddler Wouldn't Take Shoe Off -
Once we purchased the correct size for my niece, a rambunctious 2 year old, she put on her Picabo butterfly shoes right away and would not take them off. The fact that she did not complain of any pinching or discomfort is a good sign of the shoe's comfort. She loved the butterfly design, and the easy straps. It's a great shoe, and Zappos made the entire ordering process pain-free and easy.

Practical and cute -
Needed a pair of practical tennies for my 3.5 year old. She pooh-poohed many but the butterflies sold these. We must have tried 16-20 pairs and these were the keepers based on fit and style, the latter determined by her own decision making process. They are cute and comfy and she can get them on and off herself, (velcro). Plus they are not too clunky, like some of the others we tried.

Another Hit from Stride Rite!
All I wanted was a basic shoe without blinky lights, but not entirely all white, with velcro. This fit the bill (which is actually a pretty hard bill to fit when you go looking for it!). My daughter is just learning how to put on & take off her own shoes & these are perfect! They are easy for her to practice & she loves the butterfly design so she always wants to wear them. They are also comfortable for her to wear!

Cute shoe for Extra Wide Feet -
Purchased this pair of shoes for my Granddaughter who takes after me with WW/WWW feet. They are a good looking, well made shoe that's comfortable. I only wish that there was a larger selection of shoes for WWW children and women. We aren't large people but we have WIDE feet! I think Stride Rite at least tries to get a product out there for us.

Cute Shoe, Great Fit!
I ordered this shoe because my daughter wears an extra wide and they are very difficult to find. They fit well, look great, and she loves to wear them. I am so glad I discovered Zappos. Their service, as well as the product, far exceeded my expectations!

Great for kids with super wide feet! I ordered the 8 1/2 in XW for my 3 year old daughter. I have problem after problem finding the right fit for her feet because they are so wide AND chunky. These shoes fit her feet perfectly.

Cute sneaker -
Although these are a cute sneaker, they are synthetic. I was disappointed, because Stride Rite usually puts out a great shoe for kids. My daughter loves them, but her feet get so hot and sweaty in them because they do not have the breathability of leather. Next time I will read the reviews more carefully before I purchase another Stride Rite shoe or any shoe for that matter. As always, dealing with Zappos is a pleasure!

Narrow shoes -
My daughter hasn't put them on yet. They look very cute but seem to be very narrow compared with her other shoes. They're cute and reasonably flexible (not too stiff), but if you consider buying them, I recommend a wider size, say if your kid normally wears "M", buy "W" for this one.
