These shoes are very sturdy for children learning to walk. They have velcro on the strap which makes them easy to take on and off. The soles are great for toddlers.

Adorable red patent Mary Janes. They run a little on the small side, so order up if your little one is on the cusp of the next size!

Finally - comfortable and flexible dress shoes!
These dress shoes are perfect because they are more like the Stride Rite sneaker sole and fit. They are a bit bulkier than many of the Stride Rite patent leather dress shoes but it is worth it because they are so comfortable for my 16-month-old.

Gunmetal color warning -
I love these shoes...my daughter has them in the Gunmetal color. The fit is excellent, and she seems to favor them comfort wise, but the toe is peeling in the Gunmetal color (a pinkish color undertone) from wear. Otherwise, they are great. Just be warned if the show through of color will bother you.

For some reason, all the stores were sold out of this shoe in the size I needed. Zappos had them in stock and they arrived the next day, even though I placed my order after 5 pm EST. Super happy with the service. I already knew I liked the shoe. Stride Rite is still a quality kids shoe and is very well designed.

Wow! This is my first time ordering from Zappos and I am really impressed w/ the customer service. My 2 yr old daughter has very wide feet. They fit well & she doesn't complain that they are too tight.

Adorable!
I bought these shoes for my 17 month old niece. She wore them all day on Thanksgiving. People were complimenting how cute her shoes were while she ran around in her holiday dress. The little one has wide feet and the W size was perfect. She is always trying to take her shoes off and not once did we see her do that. She seemed very comfy the entire day. Definitely can't beat Stride Rite because they always offer wide sizes and with Zappos free shipping both ways, you can't go wrong!!!

These are great! I bought the gun metal for my daughter and she loves them. The color and style make these shoes very versatile. Although she's too young to tell me whether or not they are comfortable, this is one of the first pair of shoes she hasn't ripped off of her feet the second I put them on her.
