Great toddler shoe! My boy is 22 months and this is his 2nd pair of SR shoes. I had previously bought him a great pair by New Balance (in 3 sizes, as he outgrew) but that style seems discontinued. So I searched for a comfy, flexible shoe, that wouldn't show dirt terribly and easy to get on a toddler who can't wait for anything! These are it! Now I hope they don't go away too! My son occasionally says ouch when I put them on, I don't know if the tongue folds over a certain way, or there's dirt hiding in them? But before I can adjust them he's off running, so I don't know if he really feels discomfort, but I gave them 4 stars for that. The sole is super flexible, he loves the red elastics, and they're holding up well to his wear & tear. He's in a 8W and seems true. He's XW in some S-R styles, but this one seems a little more forgiving, so the single Wide works.
I'd also recommend: New Balance, Keen

We bought this style in a 7W to replace my son's 6½W pair of Stride Rite sneakers (different style). Unfortunately the two pairs of shoes are about the same size, with these only being slightly bigger. We will keep them but they are not going to last too long due to these running small. He has only ever had Stride Rite, so we know how much bigger half a size up usually is. Also, be aware they do not have the pull out insole so you can check the size against the foot. I really like that feature in other Stride Rites. Still, they are cute.
