I am a stickler about buying good quality shoes for my kids (I make up for it by buying cheap clothes). Supportive footwear is so important. Unfortunately, it seems impossible to find great quality shoes that have all the sparkly stuff that my 4 1/2 year old sees every other girl wearing. Since these are Stride Rites, I figured they should be pretty good and I think they are. It's hard to judge when it's not your own feet that are wearing them. As with most kids shoes, they don't have great arch support, but I think they are fairly breathable and seem to be holding up well. Extremely easy to put on & take off.
