I bought the shoes for my six year old. The fit is good and she loves anything with pink. The velcro makes my life easier and it is much faster for her to get in and out of the shoes when she comes in and out of the house (we don't wear shoes in the house). The shoes have held up well so far. I recommend these shoes. They are true to size and not too narrow or too wide. I have four kids and I am usually satisfied with Stride Rite shoes, especially with this pair. My only complaint about Stride Rite, and all kids shoes in general, is that there needs to be arch support in shoes.
Brands I'd also recommend: Saucony, New Balance
