My daughter has wide feet and Stride Rite shoes in a wide width have always fit her well. My daughter tells me that these shoes are very comfortable. She wears them with jeans, leggings, and dresses. They are a great shoe for school.

I measured my daughter's feet using the size chart on the Zappos site. She measured a size 13 but to be safe I went up a size. The size 1 I ordered was too big and she indeed needed a size 13 as the chart indicated. We like the shoes so much that we are keeping the larger ones for her to grow into and ordered the size 13. Unbelievably fast shipping. Zappos will be getting more business from us in the future! Thanks!

I bought these shoes for my granddaughters, ages 8 & 9, and they love them. The design is very versatile, and can be dressed up or down. They are also a lot cuter than they look in the computer picture picture too. And as usual, Zappos provided exemplary '5 star' customer service!

Very comfortable and durable, especially for a girl with wide feet. My daughter doesn't like girlie shoes and this is the only style she's okay with. Goes well with dresses and nicer pants. Doesn't work well with leggings. Functional without being ugly.

We used this shoe as part of my daughter's uniform. It worked perfectly for the code and also during playground time. It is true to size. My daughter is very comfortable in this shoe. It is a little plain to be stylish but works very well as part of school uniform attire.

We bought these for both of our daughters (1st and 2nd grades) last year. By October, the shoes were horribly scuffed and no longer looked nice. Both pairs wore out before the end of the school year - including having holes in the soles! We had to throw them away in early May.

This is the third pair of these I've purchased for my daughter as part of her school uniform. Overall, it is a good shoe and better than others we've found. She never had one blister with these when new. Her feet sweat a lot, but this shoe never gets to the point of being "smelly" after daily wear Mon-Fri for several months. It is a plus. The only negative is some shredding on the strap- strings start appearing and you have to trim them or it looks sloppy. It has not affected the shoe staying together in one piece, but it is not neat looking. Lastly, if your child has a wide foot, you may want to go with the widest. We have the normal wide and it is not as generous as other brands.

I bought this shoe for my daughter who has a wide foot. I bought it in XW due to her high instep and she absolutely loves the shoe. It is very comfortable for her and I get no complaints that the strap hurts, or the shoe is tight at the end of the day. She loves them.

My 9 year old daughter has tried many styles of school shoes, and she finds this one to be the most comfortable by far. It has good padding and support, and it is made of soft but sturdy leather. Every year she wants to try to find something new, and every year we end up with this shoe again.
