Basic Black - My kids wear uniforms to school and this year are aloud to wear gymshoes as long as they are plan black or white. These shoes are perfect. Not only do they come in wide sizes the inside material also lets your feet breath. They even don't look half bad with the uniform either. I will be buying the same shoe again for my son when he out grows the ones hes in now.

Same shoe - Purchase this shoe in 2/04. Grandson(age 6) didn't wear until after Easter. Shoe busted at both big toe. Ordered same shoe, same size but price increase from $39.95 to $43.95

A classic shoe - This is a great basic sneaker. My 12 year old son wears it for every day with jeans and it also looks dressy enough to wear with his khaki dress pants. They come in wide widths which makes it fit him well. He has not complained about wearing them even though his preference is no shoes at all.

Great Boy's all round shoe - The extra width is a great help for my son and they fit him very well -- they are true to size -- we are very happy with them. He wears them to school and to church.

Very nice shoe. My son loves the look and the comfort of this shoe. It is very hard to find all white shoes that don't look feminine, but these are great and my son loves the look and comfort.

Great everyday school shoe! White looks great with khakis and jeans. Very comfortable quality shoe--white leather cleans well. Can also be worn for gym class, but I would recommend a lighter-weight sneaker on gym days. Purchased this shoe in a wide size--fit was perfect.

Great sneakers! What a great sneaker! It only took me a couple of days to break them in and now they are so comfortable. I wear them every day. I am an adult with small feet and Zappos comes through all the time! Thank you, Zappos!!

Be Careful on Sizing - I went to Stride Rite's web "Sizing Calculator" and printed it out and measured my son's foot. It said he needed a youth 3.5M, but I knew better, so I ordered a youth 4W. It was still too short and too narrow. But Zappos is GREAT about returns so I am swapping it for a 4.5W and we'll see how that fits. Hopefully the added length will make the widest part of his foot fit in the widest part of the shoe. This is a great shoe (white) for Tennis since the sole is white and our pro only allows white soled shoes on her court.

Watch sizing - Be careful on the sizing. My child is a true 4.5 narrow and when the shoe arrived (I ordered 4.5 Medium) the width seemed fine but the shoe was too short. I've returned and waiting for the 1/2 size larger. I suspect the shoe runs narrower and smaller than usual but they're great!

Great school shoe! I have purchased many pairs of athletic shoes for my two sons and I always go back to Stride Rite. These shoes actually last until my boys grow out of them, unlike Nike or Reebok. I know they are well made and fit great since this is the sixth pair I've ordered. I ordered two pairs of these shoes at 3:00pm yesterday and received them before 5:00pm today. Great Service as always. X-Calibur is great also. And the black dress coopers last, are flexible and do not mark the floors.
