Overall:

I loved these shoes but had to return them. They look great, are comfy and true to size. The problem was the cushion inside. When I walk they make a squishy sound. It might wear down and the noise may cease over time, but since my office is so quiet I returned them.

Just not a shoe for my foot. Elastic strap was narrow enough to bite into my high arch, but not wide enough to provide much hold or stretchy enough to make sliding the shoe on easy. Bed of the shoe is not extraordinarily narrow, but certainly a close fit for a medium. Throat has stiff edge that rolls into the top of the foot and bites. The red is a nice deep maroon. I ended up with a Pikolino maryjane in deep olive from a real store.

The shoe was just not for my foot. The stiff no-elastic strap arched at least 1/2" over my high instep, the raised part of the shoe the strap came up from dug into my foot, the arch was low and off from where my arch is, and heel did not give enough height or angle at the right place for my knees and hips. Color is a nice deep, non-olive green, definitely in the pine range. I ended up with a Pikolino mary jane in deep olive from an actual store instead.

Be careful selecting size. They run large.Excellent quality. Beautiful leather. I ordered a size 40 which should have been a 9 in US but they fit more like a 10 or 10 1/2. I had to return them. Excellent service from Zappos as usual.

Love this shoe! I've worn Cole Haan shoes for years thinking that any shoe made with Nike air soles would feel like comfortable sneakers. I also was a Cole Haan fan because, let's be honest, I want good looking, designer shoes (oh, all of the Chanels, YSL and other designer shoes that sit jealously in the closet). But, Cole Haan shoes have a major drawback for those like me who don't have model-thin feet. Plus, many styles of Cole Haan shoes were too "heavy" to be worn comfortably throughout the work day. At last, I've found a brand that is more comfortable than Cole Haan: Stonefly shoes have supportive soles, good width for my poor pinky toes and are lightweight. And, the sweetener is I don't have to sacrifice on style since Stonefly shoes are Italian designed and the company offers many attractive high-heel options. Hopefully no Stonefly insiders are reading this, but I think they could actually charge more. To me, there is nothing as comfortable and stylish on the market. (I am a "shoe tester" of sorts as I've bought, consigned and given away so many cute but unwearable designer shoes). In short, you won't be disappointed with Stonefly!

Love this shoe. I usually wear a 9, but I got this in an 8.5 and it fits. So size down. I love the patent look and wanted a comfortable flat shoe that doesn't break the bank. This one is highly recommended.

Overall:

Comfy and versatile - These might be my new favorite "go-to" shoes for the summer, especially on very hot days. They're cute, not too high, but not dumpy, comfortable, stable, and look good with office trousers, shorter skirts, long skirts, and jeans. I wish the strap on the toes was a bit more snug, but otherwise am quite happy with the purchase.

Very pretty, unique-looking sandal. I agree with other reviewers that it is very loose around the ankle, so much so that I can just slip my feet into and out of the sandals without buckling and unbuckling. This has not been a problem walking in them though. However, I still might decide to punch an extra hole in them.

Loved the style, but strange fit - These shoes fit in every way except my pinky toe hung out the side. I thought they were lovely and it may have been that the strap is just in the wrong place for my toe.

This is a solid shoe that we purchased to complete a middle schooler’s uniform attire. While structurally the shoe was comfortable and obviously very well constructed, within a month of daily wear the appearance became very shabby looking as fraying started of the pretty zig zag trim and the suede finish showed major wear and matted from black to gray in no time. Therefore could not recommend for a hardy daily wear school shoe.

Runs big!This shoe is very, very cute, but not up to my standards so I sent it back. They are pretty comfortable, but I want a lot of arch support from my shoes and these did not provide a lot in the way of support. For those with somewhat wide feet, let me warn you that this shoe is quite narrow. Also, it runs at least a half size too big. I usually wear an 8.5, and I ordered the 8-8.5 shoe thinking it would probably be too small, but it was a good half size too big. Maybe even a whole size too big. Definitely order down a size.

Fantastic comfort and looks!These are my 4th pair of Stonefly shoes and they are the most comfortable, good-looking, shoes that look great whether with dressier pants or jeans. I will continue to buy Stonefly. I also just recently bought my hubby his first pair (from Zappos) and he compares them to comfort of SASS, but better looking.

The crown jewel of my closet - I have spent so many hours searching for tall black dress boots with heels that aren't perilously high, what will I do with my time now that I've found them? I must admit that my ideal boot has a chunkier heel and a rounder toe. But the Symbol 7 has won me over because it is perfect in every other respect: beautiful leather, a snug-around-the-ankle fit, leather lining, and comfy insoles. And it was available in my size (41). I balked at spending so much on them, but when I considered that we have twenty-six bones in each foot, that's less than five dollars for every happy, unbruised bone.

Excellent shoe but returned - This shoe cost a bit more than others in the same category but they are really cushioned all around nicely. Hug the foot. I tried them without socks and they fit well. Even though they are tapered a bit in front nicely there was more room than usual there. I probably could have gone down from 10 to 9.5. I think these would be comfortable all day long. If they had a stacked leather heel they'd be perfect.

NO BREAKING IN TIME - I never expect to find a shoe like this. My feet are usually never comfortable in a walking shoe all day, not even slippers. But these shoes have given my feet (one with bunion & one longer than the other size 10) NO PAIN! Excellent fit right out of the box!

Nuts - I am a fan of Stonefly and appreciated what the other reviewers said about this shoe. Unfortunately, they're not German, as someone said, they're made in India. The glue job is poor and shows up along the sole where the fabric meets it. They're going back, comfortable or not.

So comfortable!These are so comfortable that the first time I wore them was to work (retail). I have really small calves and with the adjustable strap, they fit almost perfectly. You can tell by looking at them that they are high quality. The leather is very soft and the heel is just right for me.

Zappos does it again! These boots arrived today with the incredible service that we have come to know from Zappos. The boots are beautiful, well made, well priced and above all comfortable!! Like the other reviewer, I am a 9 most of the time and an 8.5 some of the time. I followed her advice and ordered the 39 instead of the 40 and it is perfect. I'll get my moneys worth out of this boot for sure.

These are very comfy sandals. They fit perfectly (same size as all the other Stonefly shoes I have ordered. The buckle at the top is adjustable (if necessary.) The one negative: THEY SQUEAK! It is very strange, but these shoes squeak whenever I walk. Not that noticeable outside, but inside, it does draw attention. Not sure how to fix it.

Not worth the money - These are very cute shoes; the style might be described as neo-hippie. However, unlike my other Stonefly sandals, which still look good after two seasons of wear, this pair looks tired and worn after less than twenty uses. The blue has worn off completely on the heel and along the edges, and the straps have loosened to the point where the shoe is starting to flop around.

Love these shoes!Great looking, comfortable shoes. I broke them in working in the classroom, helping out my child's teacher! My one gripe - they're loose in the heels. If you have a narrow heel, these may slip a bit. Definitely sized to be worn with lightweight socks, not just nylons, etc. Also, the outsole where it contacts with the ground is a little narrower than the foot bed, which can give you the feeling of being off balance. Once I realized this, it was easy enough to watch the footing and get used to it, but I wouldn't want to find this out walking on really uneven ground!

Fabulous - I recently got this boot, and though I have not put it to the long day test yet, I expect it to be perfect. The fit is perfect. The quality is so wonderful. I have been looking for this type of boot for 2 years: reasonable heel, with broad enough base for serious walking, perfect smooth leather, with no extra stitching/logos etc. A fine, narrow-ish looking fit, not a round bulky look. A more urban shoe that will work anywhere. There is no zipper, which I love, the goring is soft leather, which makes it smooth yet it conforms to your leg shape. And the height is such, that when you cross your legs, the top edge does not hike up the end of your pant leg, or show skin. As I said--perfect in every way! I found that I went down to a size 39. I usually order a 40, I am a standard 9, a bit on the narrow side. I debated between the 2 pairs, but the 39 just felt like the better fit. Extremely smooth supple leather, which should allow for a bit of adjusting as I wear them!!
