Stila is an underrated cosmetic company in my book. I am a make up artist and my mascara of choice for myself is Major major lash. Having tried almost all of the department store mascaras I have determined that the brush on Major major lash is stiff enough to separate the lashes, and thick enough to coat the lashes fully. It also leaves the lashes feeling bouncy, not stiff, it's the mascara equivalent of a professional blow dry for your hair! I think it's the best mascara for lengthening and creating volume without clumping. I never get "spider eyes" even after 2 coats. It also comes off easily with an eye make up remover.
Brands I'd also recommend: Benefit, M.A.C, Urban Decay, Smashbox,

I did not have such great luck with this product. I found it to be very dry- as in just about empty. Even tried leaving it resting upside down, in hopes that the product had just settled during shipping, and all to no avail. Could be mine was just defective....
