modern. approachable. individual.
Created in 1994, Stila cosmetics are known for their modern, sophisticated, non-intimidating approach to beauty. Stila’s innovative, multi-tasking formulas, eco-friendly packaging, and fashion-forward colors have cemented its place on must-have lists of top beauty editors around the world. The prestige color brand is a regular on the pages of the hottest fashion magazines, and frequents the runways of top designers during New York fashion week. Stila's goal is to help every woman celebrate her own unique beauty; to look and feel like the best version of herself; and to have fun doing it.
Stila was created by a top Hollywood makeup artist whose vision was to help every woman look like the absolute best version of herself, without compromising what makes her special and unique. She innately understood that when we all try to look like someone else, we all end up looking the same—the very opposite of stylish. Putting her philosophy into practice, she imbued her new makeup collection with a sense of her own individuality and innovation. Recyclable packaging broke all the rules of the time, but reflected her personal values and respect for the earth. Lipstick shades were named for cherished friends. Clean, fresh illustrations of the “Stila Girl” allowed every woman to picture herself wearing the products instead of aspiring to be or look like anyone else. And because this was a professional makeup artist’s brand, only the highest quality ingredients were used. Stila was fresh. Stila was fun. Stila was revolutionary, and it still is.
Adored by makeup artists, celebrities, and regular girls alike, Stila cosmetics’ famous formulas include their smooth and dreamy Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer™, travel-friendly Lip Glaze™, and their Limited Edition makeup palettes, just to name a few.
Today, Stila’s makeup artists are incredibly busy, working behind the scenes on movie sets and backstage at the world’s hottest fashion shows, creating distinctive looks for the world’s top models and celebrities. It’s a lot of what gives Stila its cachet, but it’s certainly not the only thing that makes Stila special. No, what makes Stila special is their ability to make women — all women — feel special. It’s partly Stila's blend of high quality, innovative products, professional tricks of the trade, non-intimidating style, and easy accessibility. But most of all, it’s their knowledge that real artistry and creativity doesn’t mean copying: it means being confident, being creative, and being yourself, and stylishly so.

I don't really like it. I think that the colors should be more vibrant and bright not so nude and dark. Now, don't get me wrong, I like nude and dark colors but I just don't think that they should be on the same pad as a pink and a purple.

This palette was worth the price. I got it for an additional 20% off at a chain make-up store before Christmas. All the colors are wearable, and as usual, Kitten is included in the palette. Gilded Gold is my favorite and the Ebony can be used as liner. I'm not crazy about the texture of the eye pencil, but that's okay. It's a palette, it's not supposed to come with a mirror or brushes and I personally wouldn't return it for that reason. I have my own brushes and mirror. You can't beat it for the price.
I'd also recommend: MAC eyeshadow, Stila lip gloss

This palette is beautiful. I always get compliments on the colors. The nice thing about it is you can wet your brush and create a darker look for evenings that is very dramatic. Likewise if you wet a liner brush you can use the shadow as liner. I have no problem with it lasting through 14 hour days - and survives the heat and humidity in Florida nicely. Only problem is that the box is cardboard...so try not to get it wet - but then again I am pretty careless so that is my fault.

The colors blend together perfectly. I get complimented all the time on how good my eyes look. The eye liner stays in place if you have eyeshadow on. It has a very rich dark texture. It does smudge a bit if you get sweaty so it doesn't seem waterproof even though it's labeled that way. Overall I would highly recommend it.
