I absolutely love these shoes! But I am easily swayed by anything Steve Madden. However, I will be sending them back. First problem: I pulled them out of the box and they were clearly not 3½" heels. Since that is pretty much my limit (thanks to bad knees), and I really wanted to keep them, I pulled out the ruler. They are at least 3¾", but maybe just under 4". Such a disappointment. But I could not help trying them on anyway, and realized that the toe of the shoe is a little too narrow for me. My toes sometimes have this problem, but I own dozens of pairs of Steve Maddens and have never had this problem. The shoes were incredibly comfortable other than that, even given the higher-than-expected heel. Perhaps a size up would fit better? I definitely recommend these, as they are very comfortable, but if the ball of your foot or your toes are on the wide side, I recommend a size up.

If you're looking for comfortable shoes, look elsewhere. The heel is high and my foot tends to slide to the toe (I think inserting a pad in the toe area will help). But these shoes are really attractive. They have a very sexy look to them. They're a true red - no burgundy or orange hues. They might seem tight when you first get them, but don't return them - patent leather seems to stretch (at least for me). As long as you don't plan on walking a mile in them, I think they're a good buy.

I was hesitant to try these because of the heel height, but they are more comfortable than I expected. I wore them to an event and was able to stand/walk in them for four hours. I love the shape and look of the heel on these pumps. I find them to be more comfortable than most pumps with this high of a heel and would recommend them.

This shoe is really a perfect balance of work and play. I'm a 25 year old teacher and I typically wear heels to work on a regular basis. This was a perfect find because it looks nice without looking too young and is very comfortable. I highly recommended this shoe to anyone looking for a classic pump look.
