A warning on the long review ahead, but I hope to address some of the things I looked into (and some I could not find info on) before buying. TL;DR version upfront: I'm very pleased with how these heels look and provide support, but they didn't hold up perfectly after one wear. I diligently read every review I could find online (including those here), and I must start off by clarifying that these heels DO run like Steve Madden typically runs. Thus, if you typically find that Steve Madden runs half a size large on you (and you have to buy a half size smaller than your usual size), then these will also feel too roomy at your typical size. I originally bought a 7 but, after trying them on for sizing at my local department store, I exchanged them for a 6.5. The 6.5 fits PERFECTLY, and I highly recommend going for the size that fits you just snug enough and doesn't gap at the heel when you stand - this type of shoe is so minimal that it has to fit perfectly for walk-ability and stability. The arch support is great for a heel of this height. I owned the Realove (emphasis on the past tense) and, not only were those not as dainty, but the arch was SO dramatically arched that I have no idea how any human foot could stand in them - I couldn't stand wearing them. But the Stecy takes care of that issue wonderfully. I wore them for about 5 hours and they were tolerable by the end. Yes, they hurt eventually, but given that I was walking and standing a lot, I give them props for comfort. Lastly, the strap issue: it is tight, but not uncomfortably so. Just like the footbed sizing is critical, the strap needs to be equally secure so you have as much stability as possible. That being said, I can see how it might be tight for those with wider ankles than mine; however, I did not wear them on the widest hole and I didn't feel pain from having the tight strap. The strap also did not break on me. What DID wear down was the glue on the footbed by the ball of the foot; by the end of the night, the lining was peeling slightly. My foot sweat (not a pretty visual but it is a reality) combined with walking must have melted the glue down a bit, but that's kind of disappointing and a reminder that these are not near the quality of something like Stuart Weitzman. Even though I am a leather fiend and these are NOT real leather (the item information is a bit misleading - zoom in on the photo of the inner heel and you'll see "PU upper"), I found the finish of the "matte" black version to be beautiful and expensive-looking. The all-black upper and sole combo is very chic. Overall, I think the silhouette is beautiful and I believe it is a great, affordable option if you're looking for a minimalist two-strap heel.

These look like the most perfect shoe. So versatile - jeans, dress, whatever! But the toe strap - it was so tight. When I finally shoved my 6.5s in (like an ugly stepsister), the strap hit across the middle of my toes in the strangest place. There was no way I could actually walk. These shoes have very strange proportions. Unless you have the daintiest of feet, like a willowy 10 year old, I don't know how these will fit. I do not wear a wide shoe so just regular ole feet.

Sexy and comfortable. Strap across the toes is comfortable and the shoe feels stable. Can't wait to wear them for NYE.

Love these shoes. For stilettos, you know what you're getting in the comfort department, but these were not uncomfortable. I wore these and danced in them all night at a wedding. I definitely recommend.

Ugh, these are super cute but I am in the same boat that most other reviewers are in; my feet aren't super skinny so the strap caused my toes to hang over the sides. If you have really narrow feet (especially toes), then these were probably made for you! They are also uncomfortable to walk in because the platform is so short.

I'd also recommend: Chineese Laundry
