I have been looking for a pair of shoes like these for several years now, and was super excited to finally find them. The overall fit was good, but there are several critical design flaws. 1) The sole on these shoes is improperly attached, and started coming off within a month 2) The heel, as the other reviewer said, is made of a cheap synthetic material that collects stones and wears down very quickly. I'm at the point of having to replace the heel now after three months of wear. 3) the zipper on my right boot will not stay up. every few minutes while I walk, the zipper will work its way down.

A great looking boot. However, the heel is made of a poorly constructed synthetic material. During my very first wear, I noticed little rocks getting pretty well lodged in the heel. I'd have to pick the rocks out quite often. If there were still some in there, my steps would be uneven. Not something I want to deal with when wearing shoes. Sad, because it is a great boot otherwise.

These shoes hurt just to try on. This is my 2nd pair of Steve Madden shoes and, I'm sensing a trend. Not at all comfortable or supportive. Not well made at all. All style and no substance.
