Great looking shoes at a very cheap price, but the quality is abysmal. The leather is paper-thin and will crease in less than a month, and I've had lace hooks fall off on both of my pairs. I don't expect lots from a boot at this price, but the leather is really that bad. The Brockton Original is a bit less formal (and more expensive), but it's a much better shoe.

I was extremely disappointed with these. I should have heeded others' poor reviews. The leather is indeed very thin and immediately acquired countless creases. The combination of the thin leather shiny finish looks cheap and creates an embarrassing amount of noise when walking. The uppers are stiff and dug into my ankles. They may have broken in eventually, but the sole one one shoe separated from the leather after the fourth wear. The construction is so flimsy I can put my finger through the inside and out between the boot and sole. I have never owned such a cheap shoe at this price. It is a shame, because the style out of the box was sharp.

I absolutely love these boots. They are my primary footwear, summer, winter, and in-between. Great fit and durability. Good looks in a suit, slacks, or jeans. Very comfortable, and they breath quite well. I wear them with wool socks for warmth in the winter, and switch to cotton socks in warmer weather. Either way, these boots feel good, look good, and have a respectable lifespan. On my scale of 1-10, they are a 12.

Great product for the price and look nice; very comfortable; like that the top 3 spots to lace your shoes are hooks, not eyelets. I am going to order a pair in brown too...

These suave boots perfectly suit someone who has a great sense of style, especially someone who is sometimes formal/sometimes semi-goth. They are very polished looking, very comfortable, and look splendid on the foot.

Great shoe. We use them in all of our period shows here at our theatre company. Usally require an insole for comfort. Tend to run a little narrow.

These are great looking shoes, as most people have agreed. They do squeak obnoxiously, but that is easy to fix. All you have to do is rub lotion on the tongue of the shoe on all areas where the leather touches the leather. I used Gold Bond. It is easy to do and there is no more squeaking! I bought the brown and am about to buy the black as well.

Great boots. Very comfortable, can be dressed up or down, good for dancing. Make sure you take care of them (especially wipe the salt off them in the winter) as my first pair cracked from harsh conditions.

This is a beautiful shoe. Breaking it in was a little uncomfortable, and I think conditioning your skin is a greater issue than wearing in the shoe. I bought a pair in brown, and it seemed like it took forever to get comfortable. Then, I got the same pair in black, and it felt comfortable almost right away.

Awesome boot shoes for men. I call them modern conservative, and they look good with the pant leg that is a tad narrower. Very comfortable too!

I bought a pair of these Stacy Adams old school lace up boots, as I used to have a pair similar made by Johnson-Murphy. J-M no longer makes them, and as I am on my feet all day, lace up ankle boots really help me. These Stacy Adams are very comfortable and the sizing worked for me perfectly. They seem like good quality, and the price was right, so if they last half as long as my old J-M's did, I'll be happy!

he Stacy Adams Madison Boot is a shoe style that goes back over 100 years, so one has to appreciate the retro-look or else look elsewhere. That said, it is a very elegant shoe, and because it is made out of thin, comfortable leather, the shoe feels comfortable right away, without much need to break it in. I am so happy that Stacy Adams offered extra wide which is what I needed, as this type of shoe is a bit on the narrow side. That way I could order it in my true size. Because it is such an unusual looking dress shoe, I get many compliments, and now I, like others who have this shoe, want to get a second pair in another color. Recommended.
