I have bought several of these watches for myself or as gifts. Normally I buy them from Nordstorm but if they are not in stock there I purchase from Sprout.com. I will never do that again. This is the one my daughter wanted for Christmas and I could not find it at Nordstrom and on a whim I Googled Zappos. Not only did Zappos have it, but it was cheaper than anyplace else! Thinking that was terrific I realized that I did not have to pay shipping either and imagine my surprise when I got it the next day! I have never received such value and service as I did at Zappos!

About Sprout Watches
With one simple question, "How can we make a greener watch?" Sprout was born. Well, that's the condensed version of the story. The countless hours of research and development, along with an arsenal of lunches eaten while hunched over keyboards was left out because that's not as triumphant sounding.
Now, to be sure, there are a fair number of companies out there making claims to be the greenest this or the greenest that. Not so with Sprout. No outrageous claims or anything like that at all. The company simply does what it can to make the most sound and eco-friendly choices as consistently and as often as possible. From utilizing recyclable and recycled materials for packaging to simple things like turning lights and equipment off when not in use, the company seeks out ways to be kinder to the planet.
So what about the watches themselves? Here's the eco-friendly fact lowdown: Corn resin is utilized in place of synthetic plastic. All diamonds used are certified and conflict free. Watches containing Mother of Pearl are all declared through the Dept. of Fish & Wildlife and will never be from forbidden or endangered species. Add some organically grown cotton, mineral crystal watch lenses and bamboo and what do you have? You've got a watch that is 80-86% eco-friendly by weight.
In a nutshell (or stick of bamboo), that is why Sprout was developed – to give you an eco-friendly choice.
