The problem with these boots is that the tongue is not wide enough, especially at the base of the laces. I could see snow easily seeping in, soaking the sock. It's also hard to get the laces tight enough. Had to return them.

Very cute at first glance, but not very practical. Like another poster mentioned, the tongue is not very wide. It seems highly likely that snow or water would get into the boot.

These boots are cute and comfortable. Yes, the laces are kind of hard to get tight but it's not impossible and I have skinny calves. They kept my feet warm in -5 degree weather and they look great too.

I love them, very warm. I will try them out in the snow in a week or so. They need to soften up a bit around the ankle, but as it is only the third time I wear them, they are already "giving" and becoming softer.

These boots are absolutely adorable and comfortable. I like that there is a large opening to get your foot in. Easy to lace up and secure. I like that they are waterproof and will take the rain.

The tongue is not very wide. The top of the boot was too big (larger than the picture showed) so they did not fit well at my calves.

Live in Montana, so I was looking for something stylish but still waterproof. These boots fit the bill! I haven't had a problem walking in snow, just make sure to lace them up tightly and they're good to go.

I purchased these for my wife for Christmas, so she had no idea they were coming, and I know that it is risky to buy a woman shoes. She loves these. She doesn't usually do too well in heels but these have a rubber sole and besides from being stylish, they have a great cushion when she walks so she says that she doesn't feel that heel at all. I might just buy a second pair so when she wears this pair out, she has a back-up.

Very Comfortable boots. I have problems with my arches and these don't seem to bother me. I like the way they lace, so that you can adjust over your arch area without being to tight and constricted. The tongue could be a little wider, especially for people like me with fat calves. lol.
Brands I'd also recommend: None really, pretty impressed with Sporto!

I love my sporto meryl boots! They are very comfortable, warm and super soft! The only complaint I would have about this boot is that the tounge at the very bottom isn't quite wide enough. I just tie my boots tight and tuck it in and adjust it with my fingers after they are tied and its fine. But overall, I love them!

I really like the boots. They are comfortable and really cute. I bought a size 8.5 and they seem pretty true to size once I put some socks on. The tongue was fine for me. I am 5'5 and weigh 130 lbs. My calves are average size and the boots fit fine around that area. The color (I bought winter white) is a bit of a concern keeping them looking clean might be a challenge. But I have several pair of dark boots and wanted to try something different. I am very happy with the purchase and am excited to wear them on my ski trip in a few weeks!
