While they are cute boots they are stiff and uncomfortable. I can't keep any shoes or boots anymore when they aren't comfortable from the start. No more breaking in periods for me. These are going back.

These combat style boots are lightweight, cozy and quiet to walk in. The construction is a bit unusual and I almost returned them right away. The back of the heel is unlined and the tongue is replaced with the fuzzy liner that opens like a loose sock. I usually buy more expensive boots and was expecting something else. I wore them inside for a while and was impressed with the comfort. They come laced to the top, but I skip the speed lacing and wrap around my ankle. I sized up a 1/2 size and they are perfect with thick or thin socks. The smooth parts of the upper are synthetic, but I love the distressed suede. Not sure if they are waterproof, so I sprayed them. The lining is fuzzy and warm, but my feet are never overheated. This even comfort is a huge plus. Combat boots are a timeless classic, and these are way more comfy and cute than the real thing. These are practical shoes, but right on with the motorcycle chic and military style trends. You could add studs if you want. I get compliments from all kinds of different people on these boots!

Attractive boot, but I ended up returning them. They fit very nicely in the footbed, but the tops were too loose for my liking, and I could pull them right off my feet without untying the laces. Ended up purchasing Roxy Montanas, which have so far been great!
