I have very wide feet. These are the most comfortable sneakers I've ever worn. There was no "break in" period needed. They felt great from the moment I put them on. Fantastic cushioned feel in soles.

I have pretty normal feet but found these to be tight around the toes and uncomfortable, despite being the right length.

Shoe is basically comfortable, BUT after 6 mo use of just mall walking by a 73 yr retiree, the springs gave out and squeaked when I walked! My granddaughter called me "mousey" for the sound they made. I returned the shoes to co. They said "it was normal wear and tare. So be warned as a PS they never returned the shoes to me ,as I could use them in the garden. Yours Joe

Bought these because I thought the spring technology would help my neuropathy in my feet and legs that I got from from chemo. My knees were in pain and my feet legs were weak. It was difficult to walk more than a few blocks. But after wearing these shoes I can walk a lot more and my knees no longer hurt. I even wear them around the house now, I think they keep me in the right alignment and the springs help giving me momentum in my step.

I was a long time user of New Balance until I had my foot surgically rebuilt. After that, nothing felt comfortable. I broke down and had some custom inserts made that helped. Then I bought some Spiria athletic shoes and that helped almost as much as the inserts. I have never worn a more comfortable shoe. I liked them so much that I bought some for my teenage daughter for her school's trip to Washington D.C. She reported that they have metal springs in the sole-she set off every metal detector she went through!

Spira has always been overpriced for what your get. Nonetheless have had 4 pairs now over 3 years as a heavier mostly daily walker. Cushioning is about as good as anything I've found but the inner liners all wear out exceptionally fast and uppers provide very little side to side stability. Actually found the Stinger to hold up better than the Scorpius although the Scorpius provides better long-term cushioning. The spring technology is a great idea but is not really of significant advantage for someone of my age and weight while the rest of the shoe build around the springs seem almost an afterthought of moderate quality. Am even debating about getting another pair right now or go with Asics which has always been fairly reliable.

These are good shoes. I just happen to prefer the look on the Aravon Farren better. I wear a 10½W and these fit well/true to size/width. Aravon Farren was maybe a bit narrow, with socks, even in a wide, so I am getting the E width. These shoes do not go over an E width. In search of walking shoes for Europe. And I know that my feet will swell, after hours and hours of museums, parks, etc. I want the comfort of sneakers, without wearing my white clunky sneakers.

These shoes felt fine when I tried them out by wearing them on carpeting in the house. However, when I wore them outside to walk a few blocks, they caused pain in my ankles and it was so severe that I could not wear them again. Since I wore them outside I could not return them so I will have to give them to the Salvation Army.

These shoes would be a lot better with rocker bottoms. After they're broken in, I like the feel, support, & comfort. Bought my 1st pair in 2011, still wearing them, & it was cheaper to resole than replace them. Yes, the laces are a bit long, which is why I replaced mine with paracord.

I like these shoes a lot. I've owned three pair and found them very comfortable. Recently, however, I had to go through several purchase/returns due to a "click" sound in the left shoe. I think a spring was broken. But I finally ended up with the shoes without the "click." I didn't have this sound in my previous pairs. Zappos was great as always when I had to return/exchange the new pair.

These shoes are amazing - it's like walking on air...alleviated my knee joint pain from first day; so much so that I bought the black leather pair too!

This is my second pair. They are great traveling shoes that also double as exercise shoes. Comfortable while providing join protection by the shoe's shock absorbing capability.

There's nothing wrong with this shoe, it looks exactly like the picture, but it didn't fit my weird feet (wide with high arches) so I'm sending it back. I saw other people saying it ran small, but for me it seemed too big in the smaller of the usual sizes I wear (8).

This shoe is every bit as comfortable as their running shoes. I was able to put my prescription insert in and they are super comfortable! I hope this brand expands to make other types of shoes. They look great with jeans and slacks, as well. Arch support and cushion are just as good as the running shoe. Zappos sent them super fast as well!

Great shoe for my painful feet. Great arch support, my orthotics fit well in them. I walk on concrete at work, am 100 pounds overweight, and these shoes provided great support for a good 6 months.

I would NOT recommend these shoes. I purchased a pair from Zappos. After a few months of wear, I noticed a brownish-black stain on my sock. When I examined the shoe, I found the bottom of the insole had completely disintegrated, and a brownish powder was coming out from between the insole and sole. I contacted the company, Spira, to report the problem (first by email, then by USP mail), and didn’t even receive a reply. That is terrible customer service. I didn’t want a new pair, just an explanation or acknowledgement. I won’t waste my money on another pair, and have just ordered a pair of New Balance 626 to replace my faulty pair of Spira’s.

Very good sneaker!!! I bought these because I had a heel spur and my other sneakers were killing me. I immediately felt better with these and two weeks later the heel spur was completely gone!

My order arrived September 17, 2014. By January 13, 2015 both linings and fabric at the back of the shoe has worn through. There is a hole about the size of a nickel. The white plastic pieces at the heel are showing and dig into my heel as a walk. And I wear these comfortable shoes only a few hours a day. I don't use them for running or exercise walking. I switched from one of the biggest-name brands just to try a different brand, but I have never had any shoe ever become unwearable so soon.

I like the comfort and ventilation of running shoes so I got the all black Scorpius for casual wear in public and to get away with wearing at my desk job. I have not used this shoe for running. Initially I was very pleased with the comfort and appearance but 8 months after purchase the sole has started to peel away on the edges. Far worse though is the squeak that has developed. It is bad enough that I feel like a practical joke is being played on me with every step I take. I will no longer be able to wear this shoe in public. Given that I specifically purchased these shoes for low wear use I wonder how well the shoes would have held up had I actually used it for running. If I had to listen to that squeak for every step of a distance race, I think I would go nuts.

I'm an RN who works 12 hour shifts and I've been wearing New Balance 928's for years. It's a decent shoe but recently I've had surgery on my right foot and they just didn't cut it anymore. This shoe was definitely a step up in comfort. I'm pleased.

I have worn only Spira spring technology shoes for the last five years. They take away the knee pain. The industrial springs really work. I think they are ugly but they work. Walking pain free is worth it. The top material is too thin and wears fast. Not limping in pain is worth it. The outer sole edges can peel up and then rub making squeaky sounds. The springs can sometimes click. The squeak or click is a better sound then me saying ouch! Spira can improve the style, fabric material, leather, rubber, and glue. I hope they do soon. However, even if they do not, being fully pain free makes these shoes the only option. No matter how many I wear out, I will just keeping buying them and moving about. Pain free. Of course, Zappos' service is amazing.
