I have an odd foot: 8D with a very high arch and instep. So, I've bought a lot of arch support cushions. The best I've gotten were custom fitted inserts for ski boots. These are the best I've gotten from the general market.

I ordered these because my new shoes had very little arch support. I have high arches, so I checked out some inserts and ended up buying these. They take a couple days to break in (in my experience), but after that they feel great - great support, comfortable and totally worth the price.

As a cook, I stand all day. I have special (Birkenstock Birki professional clogs, also from Zappos, and very comfortable) shoes for that, but over the last couple of years I have developed foot pain that never really goes away. The condition is made worse by wearing shoes without enough support\/cushioning, so I\'ve been trying out different insoles. These are by far my favorite so far. I love the extra arch support without the stiff plastic that so many insoles have, and they fit in a wider range of shoes than bulkier inserts. I am very happy with this purchase.

Liked it - They really do have a nice high arch. Only get these if you need a high arch.

How to make shoes comfortable... These insoles are terrific. I had 2 pairs of great looking shoes that I didn't wear because they were no longer supportive or comfortable enough since my feet got older and more tired. With these arch cushions I can now wear and walk around in them all day. Excellent product. Thanks Zappos for service just as excellent.

Good cushioning + arch support - It's easy to find insoles that are either great for arch support or great for cushioning, but it's hard to find both features in one. These Spencos are thin enough to not require great shoe depth, but still manage to be effective for cushioning, and the arch support is terrific. In addition to using these in running/walking shoes, I put them into some loafers, which has moved that pair of shoes from "ok" to "great" for all-day comfort.

Great insert if you need arch support - I am a big guy and I have large sort of flat feet. If I do not get the arch support I need, my inner knees start to hurt. Within 2-3 days after inserting these supports, my knee pain went away and my day on my feet was much more comfortable!

These are a good alternative for those people (like me) who don't find the more rigid arch supports (i.e., pieces of plastic beneath the foam) to be particularly comfortable. These took a while to get used to - I usually wear orthotics - but they are a decent substitute for use in shoes that don't accommodate the orthotics.

The arch in these is in the wrong place for my foot - I have a long heel and the arch is too far back. Also they stink terribly and I'm concerned they may be made of a foam with toxins outgassing. I threw them away the day I bought them, couldn't return them as I'd trimmed the end to fit my shoe.
