Granted, I did not try these on, but I didn't want to -- the material was thin (I know, it says they're sheer, but you'd actually have to be careful about show-through if you were wearing a thin-ish dress, if you know what I mean). The material is also kind of rough or plastic-y, and the seam in the back is big! (I'm thinking: uncomfortable on the tuchus!) Also, the legs: "laser-cut"? It looks like they were just cut off with scissors - there are tiny threads coming off that I worry would unravel further. I have the original Spanx Power Panties, and I fail to see why these cost more, or are superior in any way.

I think Spanx Skinny Britches are a terrific investment. I have two pairs that I wear with skirts/dresses. I find them to be very comfortable; although I did experience them rolling down a bit at first, I just played around with the height that I pulled them up to until I found what worked for me. These also hold up well. I put them in the washer with other clothes but then let them air dry. These aren't as shaping as other Spanx products, but if you read up fully on the skinny britches product description, they aren't meant to be anyways.
Brands I'd also recommend: Spanx simplicity line

Meh. I was really excited about these, but really they are just meh. I might change my mind in the summer. But they kind of roll around the legs and around the waist. Perhaps I got the wrong size? But I don't think so. Love the Spanx tights and hose though.

I love the way I look when I wear these. They're slimming, but not overly tight. I find that the britches roll when I've put on a few extra pounds. Otherwise, they're perfect!

Terrible rolling issues. The minute I sat down, these were rolling up my leg and creating a line in my thigh that would be visible under clothing. Otherwise the material, color and fabric weight was just right. They need to figure out how to stop the rolling. Returned!

I have these in several colors and they are great to ease the thigh discomfort that some of us ladies have along with our cute summer skirts. I have worn the XL size while was a size 12 to a 16. Definitely order a bigger size if you are not looking for slimming, but just want to make those skirts more comfortable.

Skinny Britches are so much more comfortable than the other Spanx. Very thin but does the trick. I have big thighs and it did not roll. A little rolling at the top but it is so thin that you cant notice.

I ordered a couple different style of Spanx to wear with a form fitting dress. I liked these best because it was a nice heavy material, but not too heavy. It didn't feel like it was going to stretch out or run like some of the other more nylon-like products. My only complaint (that I couldn't predict) was the legs rolling up when I sat down. The top didn't roll on me at all, but the legs were constantly rolling up, and it wasn't easy to adjust on the go. The sizing was perfect according to the chart.

I was hoping to wear these under a pencil skirt to smooth my hips, but no go. As other reviewers have said, they roll up at the legs and down at the hips. They also don't go quite high enough to manage the "love handle" area. Returning these and trying another, higher pair.

These roll down at waist and legs roll up! Spanx said they tested them and to get larger size. I did and same thing. I reallly liked the idea of just a little smoothing but no thanks, spanx.

I love skinny britches! These are what you need if you want the look of control top pantyhose with out the "hose" part. I wear every day under my dresses and skirts... they are not super compression type shorts like the power panty ones and they aren't meant to be. I don't have the problem with the top rolling over, but maybe it's because I have the right size. There is a tendency for the legs to roll up and easy to adjust if I'm wearing a skirt or dress in the privacy of the bathroom stall or in my cubicle.
Brands I'd also recommend: Stuart Weitzman, Harley Davidson, Nike
