Not normally a fan of Spanx - I don't even like control top tights - but these are great for workouts. They don't seem as constricting as regular Spanx and I wore them all day the first time. You might want to size up if you are concerned about them being too binding. However, they still hold you in at all the right places and I love the high waist which keeps you from exposing too much if you bend over or your top rises up.

I bought these along with the Spanx active shaping compression knee pant. I am 5'2" and wear an 11 to 13. I first bought these in a large and they were way too tight giving me way worse than a muffin top. I returned them and bought the extra large along with the active compression knee pant that was cheaper. The extra large was a better fit (no Muffin Top) as I tried them on but the waist kept rolling down. Not sure if it is because I am short. I ended up returning them and kept the active shaping compression knee pant that has a shorter waist and so far has not had the waist rolling down issue. I would have really liked them if the waist would have stayed up and in place.
