I really love these shoes. I bought them in black. They are excellent requiring no breaking in period. One of my friends tried them on and asked me to order her a pair exactly like mine.

Great look, really comfortable for about 8 hours. After that the arch support is noticeably not there. But I love these shoes and the leather is buttery soft. Exactly the color I was looking for.

Like a slipper! These are not the sexiest shoes in the world, but they are darn comfortable, all day long - like wearing slippers out of the house. And not bad looking. Great with jeans. And they are extra cool because for every pair of Soul of Africa shoes sold, Clarks donates all profits to the care and support of South African children orphaned due to AIDS. Additionally, each pair sold helps to provide an ongoing livelihood for the individuals who stitch the shoes. Since 2004, Soul of Africa has raised well over $1,000,000 since its beginnings. Yeah Clarks!

Wonderfully comfortable - These shoes were comfortable the minute I put them on. I can wear them all day. I recommended them to a friend and she bought two pair. I wear an 8.5, so I ordered a 9 and they fit perfectly. I wear a wide width and it was perfect.

An ancient Chinese proverb wisely states, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” Thanks to an initiative established by Lance Clark, sixth generation of the family behind the footwear company of the same name, this proverb is being put into action by Soul of Africa to help South African villagers affected by AIDS to help themselves.

Working with communities in the informal settlements around Durban in KwaZulu Natal, where the AIDS infection is highest, Clark and a handful of leading South African business people in the footwear industry have since been sharing their shoemaking expertise to teach local villagers how to make this simple yet comfortable hand sewn product for the Soul of Africa line.

Soul of Africa shoes are made by hand using supple leather and quality materials to create footwear that is flexible, durable, and soft. Incredibly comfortable, Soul of Africa shoes are simple, sleek, and stylish as well!

For every pair of Soul of Africa shoes sold, Clarks will donate all profits to the care and support of South African children orphaned due to AIDS. Comfy - This is a great shoe for standing all day as far as comfort goes. It is soft and has a slight arch support. One concern for those of us with narrow feet is that the shoe can fit medium to wide and ordering a size down will not help. Overall it is a good casual shoe with a simple and comfortable style.

Comfy, but not very attractive... The shoe is comfortable, but frankly isn't very pretty to look at. I own a pair of Soul of Africa Ubisi sandals and they are very stylish. I will probably send them back because they just make my foot look sloppy. Those who order should definitely order one size larger than their normal size (I learned that with my pair of Ubisis, so I did so with these... and they JUST fit)!

These are great! These are fabulous shoes. Despite other reviewers comments, these shoes run true to size. I normally wear a 9, and I had plenty of room in the back of the shoe. They are SO comfy and the sole is definitely durable for outdoors. I bought the orange for football games this season, but I had to come back for the brown and black. The price is great and so are the shoes!!

Great shoe - I bought these in orange and I am considering getting the other 2 colors also (although I think the brown/black will be less spectacular than the orange ones); they are very comfortable, especially when you're on your feet all day long.

Nice Shoe! This is my first pair from Soul of Africa. Loved the cause and the shoe is comfortable, well-designed and wears like a slipper. The top didn't have as much "give" as I expected, but not uncomfortable at all. I know I'll enjoy these shoes. And, as always, Zappos speedy service ROCKS!!

Awesome Shoe! I was shocked at the incredible comfort and craftsmanship of this shoe! Wish I had a pair in silver! I teach second grade, and I can stand for hours in this shoe.

Very Comfy - I was trying to replace the first Soul of Africa shoe which was a dream from the first wear, (my puppy chewed it). Though that particular one was not being made again, I thought I'd try what was similar. This shoe is also very comfortable. I like the look, the feel, and the ease of the shoe. I am not on my feet all day, but this is comfortable for a full day of wear if you are up and down, or just out running around.
