What a great shoe and a great cause. Very comfortable and is certainly a shoe that gets noticed. I ordered one pair and loved them so much I ordered a second. Ordered a 1/2 size smaller. This shoe does not have any sort of support so if you have an arch problem this shoe is probably not for you. The only problem I found with this shoe is the stitching around the top. The first pair I bought was fine but the second cut into my foot a little; nothing a little stretching can\'t fix. I very highly recommend this shoe.

Great shoes -- but wear them too much and they'll start to fall apart! The stitching comes out between the leather and the sole. They are great for tooling around, but don't try to wear them for long distances. I walk a lot in New York and twice I've had to repair the stitching. Plus the sole is wearing very thin in the ball of my foot.

Regular size worked for me!
I thought about getting the next larger size after reading some of the reviews here but then decided to just get my usual size 8. The size 8 totally fits fine! I'm so glad I didn't get the 9...Not sure what others were talking about with their sizing issues but they seem true to size to me.

Unique style with handmade quality -
I got the red and absolutely love the dye used. Perfect with everything! Fit like a moccasin with little arch support, but soft and comfortable unless you spend a lot of hours standing on concrete. I find the stitching down the front to be slenderizing to my wide feet. Hope they bring this color back cause I would get a spare! I have the beige as well and it too is a favorite.

Amazing shoe, especially for the price. INCREDIBLY comfy, great everyday, go-with-everything shoe, and for a great cause. I do wish it was a little lighter brown (at first glance it looks black)...but the square-ish toe is very flattering to the leg line...really, one of my favorite pair of shoes ever.

This is my 2nd online review! It wasn't clear until I read the other reviews, but this shoe looks and feels great. It just isn't comfortable. I would prefer a 10.5 even though I normally wear a 9.5, but the shoe seem to run small and short.

I normally wear a 9-1/2, but bought 10s for comfort. This 10 seems to run small and short because they are very tight and my big toe hits the end of the shoe and it is very uncomfortable.

Poor sizing -
I always wear a size 10 and I could not wear this size in this shoe. If I could wear it, I would rate it much higher as it is soft and casual. If you are looking for support, this is not the shoe for you… short trips to the store or around the house would be fine. I plan to return it and get the next size up if available.

Even without arch support, these shoes are so comfy! After reading reviews, I decided to order a size larger than I normally wear (size 8-8.5 and I ordered a size 9). I definitely recommend these shoes and the proceeds go to a great cause.

The shoe is more of a moccasin, very stylish in an ethnic way. I would prefer a rounded toe. The color, camel, was good, and the shoe seemed to be well made but the sizing was off. Good summer casual shoe.

Great Shoes, Great Cause, Great E-Merchant!
Just got my new Karabos! So comfortable it's like walking barefoot. This is my second pair of Soul of Africa shoes. They are beautifully made and never make blisters. They do seem to have a toe box that's a little short. But they stretch. They look a little unusual, so you're not one of the crowd. We need more styles and colors in U.S.

I love this shoe. I'm a big supporter of the Soul of Africa line and this one didn't disappoint. It took a few days for the front to stretch out to my feet (my feet are slightly on the wide side so I'm used to this being a common timeframe). The only other thing I noticed was the first day or two the color on the insole (I have the black pair) kind of bled on to my foot, so I'd recommend wearing a black pair of socks with these the first few days. Other than that, a fantastic shoe for a fantastic cause!

Well named shoes with soul!!
These shoes are perfect. I wear an 8 perfectly and these fit me right out of the box-perfectly! I stand all day at my job and was desperate to find a shoe that would help ease my aching feet! Voila! Fairly inexpensive, soft and comfortable, stylish, politically and ethically kind and considerate--do not hesitate! My only objection is that the black dye from the leather rubs off a bit during the first few wearings. Absolutely love my "Soul of Africa" shoes and I will definitely order another pair. And of course (and no one knows HOW they do it!!!!) Zappos--the world's ONLY place to buy shoes--got them here OVERNIGHT!!
