Great for heavy-duty romping in the snow. I bought a pair of these when I was in high school. That was 10 years ago, and I still use them today when I go up north to visit my parents. They were definitely worth the money. They are high-quality and perfect for romping around my parents woods in the northern winter snow. They have lasted a long time, even though I haven't used them as much the past few years as I did when I still lived in the north, they are at my parents home just waiting to be pulled on whenever I visit, and I know they'll keep my feet warm and dry no matter the abuse I put them through.

SO cute and comfy! But...
I loved these boots but sad to say that after only a few times of wearing them the back seem ripped out. I hadn't even gotten up on a mountain yet :( I will try again though because they were just so darn adorable...and practical! I'm hoping this pair was just duds.

My old Sorel's sprung a leak, so I've been in search of a new pair of winter boots. This was perfect...a tall shaft, rubber boot, and thick lining. I ordered them (in black) late Saturday night and they arrived before noon today. When I opened the box, all I could think of was, "Herman Munster."
What the heck, I was looking for warmth and waterproofing. I wore them around the house for an hour. What a workout! I wear and 11. These shoes fit fine, even with a thick sock. One problem. These are the heaviest boots I've ever worn. I put them on the scale and the pair weighed in at a whooping 4.8 pounds! Living in Chicago, I do a lot of walking, so if I kept these boots, I'd end up with legs the size of Arnold, not to mention fatigue.
Thanks for the fast delivery, but it's back to the drawing board for me.

Fastest boot delivery in the midwest -
I ordered online late afternoon on Saturday after not finding my size at the shoe store and they arrived on MONDAY! Love them, would like to buy them for friends. Wish they made them in 1/2 sizes, but I added an ugg (spelling) sheepskin insole and they are the best!

Really happy with the boots!
I live near the wilderness in Idaho, and I have tried many boots, but none that I tried can offer the warmth, comfort, and durability of this pair.
I did feel that they run a little larger, although great with a really thick sock.
The boots look clumpy, but they are really comfortable and warm.

Sorel Snowlion -
I wear a size 8.5, but the Snowlion only comes in whole sizes so I got the 9 and it was WAY too big. I should have gone with the 8 but there weren't any left when I tried to exchange. It is a wonderful boot - cute, warm, and comfortable - just make sure if you are a half- size to go DOWN and not UP.

Best Boot Ever!!!
This is the best boot ever!!!! In Chicago it can get down to -35 and my toes have stayed nice and toasty warm in these temps. And, I found I can even drive in these boots.

Nice boot, just not what I was looking for -
I was looking for a boot that would be good for rain or snow; this boot looks like it would be great for the snow, but a little overkill for rainy days. I liked the way they looked and they fit great, except when I pulled the liner out they were obviously too big. I would recommend this boot for someone that wanted a heavy duty snow boot. I wear a 7 and ordered an 8 and they fit great with the liner in.

This boot will keep you warm and dry.
I was a little nervous at first because these boots were so heavy, but they are the best snow boots I have ever had! They are a little bulky for everyday walking around, but they were fantastic in the snow and ice. My feet were never cold or wet so it made being out in the snow much more fun.

Comfy and Practical -
I've been looking for a pair of snow boots for a long time and finally ordered two different pairs from Zappos. I immediately returned one of the pairs since they were nowhere near as comfortable as the Snowlion. Although I don't really like the look of the Snowlion (I think the boot is big and chunky looking) they are very comfortable. I've been glad to have them in the last two snowstorms as they keep my feet and calves warm, dry and comfortable. The downside: the Snowlion is a bit on the heavy side and definitely not a fashion statement (at least not a good one).

Perfect for deep snow!!!
Purchased these boots before visiting my daughter up in Tahoe. They sure came in handy!! Lived in them for the week I was there, even took an hour hike!!! Feet stayed warm and dry. This is the second pair I've owned and the only reason I needed a new pair was the first ones which I've had for 10+ yrs. were a little on the dirty side.

I wore these boots for dog sledding in Upper Peninsula, Michigan. The weather was around 20 degrees F. They worked great. I did wear a sock liner plus thick winter socks. My feet were a bit cold, but I should have dried out the boots with a boot warmer each night and these may have helped with moisture -- probably from my feet sweating. These are definitely waterproof, rugged, slightly heavy boots. Easy to slide on and off through airport security.

Have always owned Sorels. My old pair is 10 yrs old and I just needed a bit higher boot to walk through fields in. These are perfect. It has been in the teens here with 10 inches of snow and I am not feeling the cold. Fit perfect. My normal size is a 9 and that is what I bought. Very lightweight boot for the coverage and easy to walk in, not clunky at all. Would buy again in a heartbeat!

I love my boots. They are true to size, e.g., if you wear a size 7 narrow shoe, I must suggest you purchase the exact size for the boot. Plus, the boots are very comfortable because of the arch in the boot! Everyone loves my boots and asks where did I purchase them from and of course I tell them Zappos.

I finally blew out my old green boots after a good 15 yrs of wearing them in crud weather. I am ordering a new pair because they are really the only boots that keep out snow and keep my feet warm. I know I don't want to do winter without a pair of Snowlions so get yourself a pair and you will return for a second pair in about 15 years!!!
