Love these boots and I am keeping them. A couple of negatives: 1) The tongue is around 3 inches wide, so if you have a wide calf you might be able to see your leg. I had extra leather sewn to the flap, but with the price of the boots, you might not want to have that extra expense. 2) They do slide down some around the ankle, which might rub on the back of your heel? I am short and I like that the heel is 3 inches, but it's not really noticeable because the leather covers the heel. I bought them for riding my motorcycle. They are very comfortable and the leather is VERY soft. I normally wear a 7 1/2, but ordered a 8. They are a tad big, but with thick socks they are a good fit.

I love these boots. This is my third pair of Sorels and I adore them. I always size half down and they are perfect. These are not exactly winter boots for outside and being warm for hours on end, more like looking amazing between shops and lunch, but I still love them. Very comfortable and lots of room to tuck in pants or warm tights/socks.
I'd also recommend: keen

I love these but... the tongue is too skinny. When you bend at the ankles the wrinkles/creases (don't know how else to describe it) open up and you can see the sides of the tongue and whatever you have underneath them. I have to make sure I'm wearing black socks so you can't notice anything. I wish I could attach a picture to better illustrate the issue.

I was so excited about these boots. They look great when you first put them on. I still wear them and think they're cute but the ankles are incredibly weak. No matter how tight I lace them, the ankles puff out between the laces because there is absolutely no support for the suede of the boot. Also I've almost rolled my ankle in these a million times because the wedge is slightly too thin. This combined with the weak ankle is dangerous. These boots would be amazing if the entire boot was reinforced and wasn't so floppy; especially the ankle. For a winter boot, these aren't very sturdy. Other than the above, they are comfortable and cute. They are also pretty warm.
