These boots looked and felt great when I purchased them. Paid a decent amount of money so I felt that they can hold up to the price. It has the high rubber toe which I like and a comfortable top. A nice boot. Now the bad part. The seam that is stitched to the rubber and the leather on the toe section wears out fast, leading to leakage, then eventually tears wide open leading this boot useless. Final thoughts, very expensive first date then a big let down. Sorry Sorel. No ice fishing with you this winter.

I recently bought a pair of the Sorel Conquest to take with me elk hunting in Colorado. They were great. It was 26 degrees with 5 to 6 inches of snow. Feet stayed warm and snug. I love them. Wish I had purchased them years ago. Totally satisfied.

Warm & comfortable right out of the box. Like the simple & functional style. I like the buckle on the back even though it's mostly decorative. Bought 1/2 size larger than my usual sizing. Still testing out the construction as they get broken in this winter. They could use hooks on the upper laces, but overall I'm quite pleased so far. Also got them on sale with excellent customer service from Zappos.

Cool, very nice. Ordered them 10/5/09, got them today, 10/7/09. No problem getting them on and off. The strap on the side works fine. I don't think people know how to use the strap; you have to clip it, then pull the strap. Haven't tried them in the snow yet though. That wont happen until February when I head out to Wyoming. But looks good, feels good.

This is an extreme outdoor boot that can endure serious cold climate. Very comfortable, no break in blisters and the liner does not give me any problems. The Cons- a bit bulky but what do you expect for this type of boot and the side buckle serves no purpose and may be annoying to some. Overall, this is a qualitity product and I would purchase them again.

Tough getting into... These boots are impossible to get into. The upper portion of the boot is sewn to the tongue making it a very difficult task putting your feet into them, and the "gaiter" tucks down into the boot with your foot; catching your heel every time. I hope I don't need to get these boots on in a hurry for a fire or something some day. Once on your feet, these boots are great in snow, slush and ice. They are very hard to get your feet into.

Warm feet - They are good in extreme cold and wet areas. Using them on a government contract in extreme conditions and they are great. Thanks for upgrading shipping (at no cost to me) and shipping them out fast.

Great Winter Boot! I love this shoe! Have worn it in for a couple months now. It looks great, keeps snow and water out, and your feet VERY warm! Looks like solid construction that should last a few years of continuous use. My only gripe with it is (and it's partially because I have wide feet and always have to get 0.5-1.0 sizes larger which I did here), the tip of the pinky toe goes in at a more steep angle then most shoes making this seem to fit a bit more narrower than most of its size. Still not enough to deduct any stars. Thanks Sorel!

Great boot - Great boot, I drive truck and spend a lot of to outside, and they keep my feet plenty warm and dry. The boot is not so bulky that they get in the way while driving. The only thing I would have done different if I were the designer is put speed lace hooks at the top rather than eyelets. Otherwise they're great.

Very Bulky - These boot replaced my Columbia Bug a Boots, I wore them on the glaciers in Iceland and worked pretty good. But I needed a taller boot. The boots are very sharp looking in my opinion. They however felt like they were a full size to big. I order them a half size bigger because I always double up on socks (habit). I have been slowly trying to break them in just not used to the stiffness of this style boot. They are very, very warm no need for a second pair of socks. They do need better arch support. But overall a good boot.

Good Nor'easter boot! I have been wearing these for a month now, and the comfort is awesome. They are a bit heavy (compared to winter hiking boots), but very warm and waterproof.

A boot above - Living where snow comes down October thru March, just about every day, these boots do the job. Warm, comfortable and roomy. The sole almost eliminates slips n slides and its thickness makes a nice buffer between me and the cold earth. Completely waterproof...it’s a good boot. My only issue: Can be a pain to slip on and of, unlike original Sorels.

Great fit here in Montana - I was looking for the perfect boot for snowy sub-zero days here in Montana. I read the reviews before I purchased and I'm not disappointed with my Sorel boots. They are a little stiff right now but I'm working hard on breaking them in and plan on having them for many seasons to come. Thanks for another smooth transaction Zappos!

Great boot for what I used it for - I used the boot for an after-ski boot but was looking to the future when I do a lot of snow play with the kids. Very comfortable boot and great for a lot of walking. I wear an 11 and purchased the 11.5 which fit great with a ski type sock.

Gorgeous! Ordered this shoe in gold, it is even prettier in person...the jewels on the toe have a lot of dimension that the pictures don't capture. The gold leather is soft and subtle, not too bright, but definitely gold. As for fit: if you intend to add any supports/cushion to the shoe, I suggest going a half-size up from your normal shoe size. Cole Haan tends to run small to normal in my experience, and I ended up ordering the size of my normal shoe. I'm going to add some very thin heel grippers to them, but am happy with fit. Cushion doesn't offer arch support, but it does its job.

Great Boot - Very nice fit and warmth for the winter. Ran a half to full size small, but no problem with return and exchange for the larger size. Very helpful customer service experience.

I got this jacket as I got more and more into running and needed something to keep me visible in the Maine winters. I opted for this instead of a dorky reflective jacket as this gives me a lot more visibility. The color is incredibly bright, and the jacket is very very reflective. The only downside which is pretty major is that it doesn't breathe!!!!! After I get back from a run, the layer between my base and the jacket is pretty damp, but the jacket itself is absolutely dripping. Not really sure why it's so bad about breathability if it's supposed to be a running jacket. Had I bought this at the outdoor goods store where I often shop, I would have been able to return this even after wearing. Long story short, good for visibility, very bad for moisture control.

A good boot - I bought these boots to shovel Minnesota snow in sub zero temperatures. They rock. My feet stay warm with an athletic sock, and with a woolen boot sock, I can stand outside all day long without any problem whatsoever. Two things though: 1) The Achilles adjustment strap is a piece of fluff that does nothing. It may make the boots look cool, but it does nothing to adjust the fit and gets caught on your pants leg all the time. You'll need a decent pair of scissors and some heavy duty cutters to cut the plastic hardware off and rid yourself of this piece of fashion torment. 2) Another reviewer brought this up and he was correct. There is no loop on the back to pull the boot on with. Now, I've had these boots for over 4 years and have no good basis for complaint. But, the lack of this strap and my deeding to pull them on by the snow sleeve has caused the snow sleeve/boot lining seam to tear. Otherwise, I could easily see them being an 8-10 year boot.
