I live in Minnesota and have had a pair of Sorels for the last 10 years. The only problem is finding replacement liners. I have been out in weather that is -30 with a 40 MPH wind, and my feet were the warmest part of my body. Wore them while I was working outdoors in a lumberyard and was never cold. Just need to have a heavy wool sock on. Dress for the weather, not the style.

Okay! For my first pair of snow boots I decided to go with the Caribou. I must say the look good, but they are poorly made! The first pair I ordered had the biggest air pocket in the sole of the left boot so I called Zappos and they immediately send me a second pair. Turns out the second pair had the same problem only a bigger hole in the sole of the left shoe! If you were to go out in the slush and snow with Caribous, I know they will eventually fall apart fall and soak your feet. There are some reviews out there on how flawed the are and even pictures of people pressing the water out of their boots. If you ever decide to get a pair: Look for a small hole on the side of the of the soles of both shoes just to be safe. Also listen for hissing noises coming from your boots. If you notice this immediately contact Sorel and let them know that there is a serious flaw with their boots! Try not to get pissed when talking to customer service because they don't know what's going on; it's the CEOs that need to tighten up!

I live in Northern Vermont and we take our Winter snow boots very seriously, after all our Winter snowfalls last from November through May! Purchased my first pair of Caribou last year. The sole on the left boot split 3" from the boot body after about five wearings. Shorty after that, a thin slit about 1" long suddenly appeared in the rubber just where your little toe sits. It got longer as the winter progressed. Another split appeared, this time on the right boot in exactly the same place (this time over the right little toe). I wrote Sorel and they referred me to Zappos. Question is: I purchased them a year ago. Are they still guaranteed or am I out of luck?

Run small, had to reorder to next size. My husband like these very much. His feet stay war and dry and it is very hard to keep his feet warm. The exchange was quick and easy with not problems. Excellent store to work with. Recommend highly.

My husband says these are awesome. A little heavy but substantial and very warm. He's been able to test them in plenty of snow and said they were a great buy. (They look huge when you open the box, but are true to size.)

I bought these for my husband and he loves them. Really heavy boots! Went snowmobiling and all the guides were wearing Sorels.

I was a newbie to Zappos when I ordered my Sorel boots. They arrived in 3 days. Good fit, good price, fast service. Easy breezy....
