Almost didn't keep these because the "red" is a strange burgundy and I couldn't decide if I liked the color. Then I splattered grease on one, and I guess that decided it for me. As far as comfort, they are pretty darn comfy. Wide where it counts for my 8ww foot and the elastic top works well for my high instep. Haven't worn them much, yet, so can't comment on arch support.

HAPPY ... HAPPY ... HAPPY ... that's what my feet are today with my new SoftWalk Tanners. I knew from the moment I put them on they were going to be winners. I love the way they surround your entire foot giving you a good, firm feeling of stability. I was concerned that the elastic strap was going to be a burden, applying too much pressure on my foot (I have a very high instep) and thereby causing swelling, but after having them on for well over 5 hours I can tell that's not going to be an issue. The elastic strap is more for display than purpose. I like the rivots on the side of the shoe and the fact that it almost looks like a boot will making it even more appealing for the quickly approaching winter months. I have a completely flat foot and therefore it's very wide, too, so I'm always on the lookout for attractive WW widths. This one is just perfect. Snug enough to not have to work to keep the shoe on and loose enough to provide breathing room. Wish it came in brown, but I'm good with the black. An olive green would be even more perfect!! If you're looking for a shoe you can wear for long periods of time and don't want to fuss with tying and untying then I would strongly suggest this shoe!!!

A lightweight, durable, and cute shoe that will serve as a "walker" for me without looking too clunky. Very unusual to find any shoe in a blue denim color! I normally wear a 7.5, but I am returning these for an 8.

These are comfortable, but with moderate arch support. They look a bit like clogs. They definitely run extra wide if you get the WW width.

Wow, these are awesome shoes. I have really wide feet and have had surgeries and such. Rare to find a pair that right out of the box fit like a glove. Love them! Now, if they will just get some more in my size.

Great shoe. Bought for Mom. Cute, comfy and the fact that the upper is not leather, but more of a nubuck type of material, it will stretch nicely to fit perfectly. Really stable for walking and standing.

Very fashion forward, Euro styling and soft leather make this a unique choice. The eggcrate padding within cradles your feet in comfort while the stretch band outside helps to surround your feet and support it for a good fit. I have long and narrow feet, so I was able to get it, and they fit perfectly. I also appreciate the edgey burnished red color because they go with a lot of clothes.

These shoes fit and were comfortable, but they just look strange with the black fabric band across the top. It doesn't look that strange in the photo, but I didn't like how it looked when they were on my feet. They look like an orthopedic shoe for someone who can't find anything more "normal"-looking to wear, so I sent them back.

I love these shoes, and I appreciate the fast service Zappos delivers! These shoes have a built in footbed that is very comfortable. It makes you feel like you are walking on air. I can wear them with my work uniform or out and about.

Finally a shoe that feels good and does not look like a clodhopper! After knee and ankle surgery I have had a lot of trouble finding a shoe that is comfortable, stable, extra wide and not ugly, and Softwalk Tanner fits the bill. THANK YOU SOFTWALK!!!

I like these shoes very much. They fit well with the exception of my one extra-long toe, but I had that shoe stretched, and I think it will be OK. These should be well used as they are quite versatile and attractive.

These shoes are so comfortable and stylish. My wide foot combined with the high instep make it challenging to find those qualities, but this shoe does it magnificently.

Trying to find a blue leather shoe to go with blue jeans was difficult. I needed a double wide. This was about the only one I could find that had a closed heel. The shoe is comfortable but does not give the arch support that my Danskos and Sanitas give. My sons call them my elf shoes, so I'm not sure how fashionable they are. But they have a bit of a heel, and I like them. I'll be ordering another pair. The elastic gore is nice; it gives a little wiggle room. I am wondering how well the elastic will hold up.

I may never take these off. Have only worn for 2 days, but they are great. I wear a 9N with a high instep and have started having foot problems in the last year (thus having to abandon my high heels, and finding comfortable, supportive shoes in my size has been a challenge. Have been on my feet, including up & down stairs, a lot in the last two days, and for the first time in weeks my joints don't ache.
