- Polarized lenses because glare happens. Not just on glass and water, but also on pavement, sand or just about any other flat surface. It overloads the retinas with too much information, and after a while just flat wears you out. Polarized lenses filter out the visual noise so that you can focus on the facts.
- Large fit.
- Tapered Lens Technology™ corrects the distortion by progressively tapering the lens thickness from the optical center toward the peripheral view. Light waves now travel directly to your eye to generate precise vision and reduce potential eye fatigue.
- Grilamid TR90 Frame for maximum durability.
- Hydrophilic Megol nose pads for long lasting comfort.
- Stainless steel 5-barrel Italian hinges.
- 8 Base lens curve.
- Custom stainless steel logo plaque.

Great Shades! These are great shades. If you get the chrome fade frame or the copper lens ones then not only are you getting polarized lenses but you are also getting photochromic lenses. And polarchromic lenses, as Smith Optics refers to them, are spectacular. They are like Transitions, getting lighter indoors (out of the light) and getting darker outdoors (in the light). These look very stylish too and they reduce glare very effectively. Highly recommended. My only qualm is that they are made in China but oh well... the global market is as it is...

Joe Cool - Very hot, sexy looking shades. Love the way they wrap around the sides. Comfy fit on the face.

Cool Shades - This is my first pair of Smith sunglasses. Mine have the polarized brown lenses, which are very nice in a wide variety of light conditions. I generally wear Oakley's, but thought I would give these a try because they are somewhat less expensive. I've been very happy with them. The Shelter model is probably best suited for those with larger faces.

Awesome - These are the nicest sunglasses I have ever owned. I usually buy Arnette, but I think I am now a Smith customer. These shades are very comfortable, stylish, and the lens is really nice.

Great snug sporty shades - I go kite surfing with these shades; they are very snug, well-fitting, and do not slip from my nose. Extremely durable. I beat the crap out of these shades and unfortunately, I scratched the lens after a year (I probably put it in a bag or pocket that had sand in it.) I love these shades so much that I bought a second pair; same exact style and color. I'll probably use the first pair for when I'm actually kite surfing out on the water.

I bought these shades for my husband who is very particular about his sunglasses. These are a perfect fit for a guy, they were too big on me. And the green stripe is pretty cool. Very different from all the normal colors you see, but not too obnoxious. They actually almost look like tortoise shell color until you look close, and the brown polarized lens is awesome. The detail on the side is silver and not too flashy which my hubby liked. A really cool surf style wraparound pair of shades. You just can't go wrong with Smith sunglasses!
