This is the first time I've spent this much on sunglasses, and the first time I've had polarized lenses. These glasses are very nice looking, and seem well-made. I have the purple frame, and it's very cool. The color of the lens is fairly dark, and the gray tint does not distort colors. The glasses hug my face very nicely and I like the small "Smith" etched on the top of one side. They are for a small or medium face (they say), and I am an average-sized woman. I also bought a similar style, that was the next size up and the lenses were way too big for my face, so I'm sticking with these. My only disappointment, and the reason I'm rating them down just a little, is that for glasses this expensive, I assumed they'd come with a case. They come only with a soft gray drawstring bag. The bag is very nice, and doubles as a polishing cloth, but will not protect the glasses from being squashed. I will probably have to buy a case for them. I had also purchased Ray Bans at the same time, and they did come with a nice leather-like case that was made to hold that particular model. I expected the same from Smith (though they were a little cheaper than the Ray-Bans).

I am pleased with my Smiths. They look great and the lens are large enough to protect the area around my eyes as well as my eyes. Now if they only invented sun glasses that wouldn\'t get lost.

Great medium sized fitting sunglasses - good coverage but certainly not huge. Should only be worn for day to day activities - shopping, driving, hanging out and not working out. These are not fitness sunglasses but more fashion sunglasses. Very hip and chic!

I bought the Smith Optics Rosewood Polarized glasses (purple gunmetal frame) when I was looking for some aviator inspired wire frame glasses with polarized lenses. I set my budget at or less. These guys do the trick and look good. I have a medium size face (male) and they look a little large on me, but fashionably so. The purple frames are a little purple, for me, but I pull off the look. One downside is the lack of a hard case. I traveled with these in a checked bag and one of the lenses popped out. I popped it back in with no harm done, but an included hard case would be a nice touch.

Fantastic shades, the visual clarity on these is amazing, no noticeable distortion at all, and the polarization greatly reduces glare. They are pretty comfortable, if a little snug on the temples and on occasion the nose slips a bit, but not enough that it becomes a problem. The also look fantastic.

A tad too tall for me. These are big heavy glasses. Padding at the nose and ears is stiff and offers little grip. Polarized effect is not as pronounced as others I have used. Wind protection is good. The frames lower edges hit my cheeks when I smile. My opinion is this portion extends too low. I do really like how the aviator style is rounded to offer better wind protection. Lenses do not appear to create any strange effects with peripheral vision. I hope Smith makes a slightly smaller version of this style some day.
