At first I thought these were going to be too bulky in the toe to wear, and the toe parts too snug, but after washing them as directed and wearing them for a day, they were dreamy. The material is so soft, there is some feeling of cushion underfoot although they were marked as uncushioned on the package. I liked the material so much, I ordered more SmartWool striped socks in non-toe style.
Brands I'd also recommend: This is the best. I'd not recommend another brand.
