I purchased these to use as my only socks on a round-the-world trip. I'm only a month in but so far, they're performing well. The socks are comfortable and reasonably low-profile. The color is a bit odd- I definitely wouldn't describe it as silver, but a slightly flesh-color. They are thicker than I anticipated, which lends increased comfort, but they take much longer to dry than the rest of my lightweight clothing.

Smartwool socks are the best -- I just recently discovered them while on vacation in New Mexico and had to order them for my son, who is very active. They are great working out or when wearing casual boots. Love them!
