Sebago almost like slippers - This is my second pair of Sebagos. I purchased a brown pair about 2 years ago and I wear them all the time. They are very soft. These have a different sole tread pattern, but just as comfortable. The arch is just a little firmer than the older pair. I have worn them for about 4 days. Just like the first pair the heel leather starts out a little stiff and I need to use a finger to coax the leather over my heel. After about 4 days my foot is beginning to just slip in. I have worn my other pair regularly and after a short break in, they are perfect. I am not implying that they start out tight, just not able to slip my foot in unassisted until about a week of wear. These are not hiking shoes, so you know when you are walking on rocky surfaces. They are like a good pair of slippers that have a great look and can be worn as a casual shoe in the office. Zappos, as always, is great - order was at the door the next day. I don't know how they do it. We have been ordering shoes from Zappos for the last few years. No problems with returns - we've been 100% satisfied.

Finally a decent fit! For someone who was in the shoe business back in my college days, one thing I've learned is that sizes vary depending on the last, style and manufacturer. These were no exception. I usually wear a size 8.5 D. Cole Haan shoes are the only shoes that I have ever bought that are consistent. The 8.5's in these Sebagos were too wide and long. I sent them back and tried a half size smaller, and they were more than perfect. That would be my only recommendation. Order a half size smaller.
Brands I'd also recommend: There are so many quality loafers just like this, just try them on.

Awesome - These shoes might be a tad on the large side...I normally wear size 9; got these in 8 1/2 and they fit perfectly...can't say enough about these shoes...great look with just about anything...solid construction...quality material...get em.

Brands I'd also recommend: Clark and Hush Puppies are the ones that i can recommend.
