I bought a pair of Steve Madden on sale from Zappos for my husband to choose. He liked Sebago Helmsman because of the fit as his foot is wide. He also has gotten a lot of compliments from young to old. Definitely worth it.
I'd also recommend: Probably Speedwell

I've not bought boat shoes in about 10 years, but got the itch to get a pair. Tried on a pair of navy Sperrys recently while visiting family in New England, and didn't find them comfortable. My father (67) is an actual offshore sailor (a real one, not some rich snob who thinks a boat is just a bragging implement), so he tells me that Sebago makes better stuff. Knowing Zappos' awesome service and return policy, I took a gamble and bought these, three days ago. I am not a sailor (alas, my stomach disagrees with my intentions), but openly welcome sound advice. Today they arrived (technically one-day shipping, as I bought over the weekend) and I tried them on. Walked around inside for a while, and so far I am impressed. Comfortable for certain - five stars, so far! Style being subjective, I give these four stars - I like them, but can easily see how the color (navy) may not suit everyone. Overall, four stars - hey, nothing is perfect. So far, so good though.
