The 5 year old girl wore this shoe twice and what would be scuffs on a regular leather shoe turned out to be the top layer of "leather" sheared off like Onion skin. Paste type shoe polish did nothing to help. It's as if the top surface of the shoe was painted on. I've purchased all of this girl's shoes since birth and this is the first time I've been unhappy with a shoe.

I purchased these shoes at the beginning of last school year for my 5th grade daughter who is meticulous with her things. The laces came apart almost immediately! The leather peeled off, and the soles wore on them. This was the worst pair of school uniform shoes we have ever had! I usually keep them to pass to my other 3 daughters. These went directly in the garbage the last day of school! Not to mention just plain ugly!

I almost didn't buy this pair of shoes after reading the reviews, but I liked the style and I decided to give it a try, due to Zappos having a very easy return system. So far after 2 weeks of daily use, shoes are still like new and my daughter thinks they are very comfortable. I am definitely keeping them.
Brands I'd also recommend: Jumpping jacks, hush puppies kids

I just recently bought these and I truly love them. I recommend them to everyone (including little people adults) with feet this size.
