I purchased these boots for a winter trip in the White Mountains. The weather conditions were insane. 70mph winds and -20s in the temps. I climbed the Right Gully in Tuckerman's Ravine. My Scarpas accepted crampons nicely and kept my feet toasty warm. Awesome investment, as I don't relish the thought of losing my piggies. If you're on the fence and aren't sure, I can help you. Buy them! And of all the places I looked to buy them Zappos had the best price. The delivery time was quick, too. Don't hesitate. Just do it!

Fantastic boot. I am a woman with a size 8.0 foot (a wide foot). The men's boot in size 39 EU fits perfectly with no toe bang on the descents and good heel support on the ascents. Highly recommended even for the ladies!

Ordering was easy, the boots arrived quickly, and they are great! I've hiked several Catskills speaks in them at 10 degrees or below, and they are warm and comfy, and stay dry.

First of all, this is an awesome boot. I will admit right out of the gate it is out of my league. This is a serious mountaineering boot. I ordered a pair amongst others of varying levels of technical expectation. If I were mountaineering or could even come close to justifying this boot I would have kept it. I will say I believe it ran just a fudge small. I am a woman that wears between an 8.5 and 9 in woman's...always did well with a mans 7. I got these in a mans 7 and feel that a 7.5 would have been perfect. I have wide boney buniony feet and therefor fit a bit better in a mens boot. Pleanty of room in the toe box in these though, again, I would size up a half size if wearing a thick sock. I would also say the arch support was not there...but, who doesn't add their own insoles/orthotics these days...that can easily be rectified. It is a good looking boot! Maybe not important to some but I thought it was a great looking boot. Great quality build, materials, etc. I definitely recommend this boot.
