Awesome, rugged, instantly comfortable. I have a very narrow foot and so have a really hard time finding boots to fit. I ordered six pairs but these were the clear winner. I love a Gortex boot. Right out of the box these fit! No heel slippage. And a padded tongue that I need to keep my skinny foot from slipping around. Great traction and waterproofing without making my feet hot. I love that they provide a lot of support and stability but were also one of the lightest in weight of the boots I tried. They look great, I have been wearing them for errands with jeans. Did not need to break them in before wearing them on a six mile scramble with my high school students!

Trekking Machu Picchu the end of May and decided, at last minute, that I needed new hiking boots. Not much time for breaking in so I was nervous about fit. Took these out of the box and did a quick 6 miles on varied terrain - these boots are fabulous! Not a rub anywhere and they feel like I've worn them for a year. They have great ankle support and are light enough that I didn't feel like I was lugging my boots up the hills. I have a narrow heel but wide forefoot and these fit perfectly by sizing up a half size. Highly recommend these boots.

Great shoes for hiking, stylish with non-traditional colors. Little longer than standard US size 10, which was good for me. Also, narrower which was good too as I usually have to order narrow shoes. Did give blisters after full day hikes, but probably due to combo of orthotics and narrow heels. Great buy!
