I love the Ride 9. I wore the Asics Gel-Nimbus for about 15 years, and it was time for a change. I tried Sauconys may years ago and decided to try them again, since they made a shoe for neutral/under-pronation. The cushioning is amazingly better than my last Gel-Nimus (admittedly, a few iterations ago), especially under the ball and toes. Wow. I'm a senior and tend to walk/run, with walking about three to four miles, and running one to two miles. The Ride 9 is perfect for this in my world. I did have to order up a half-size. Not sure if my foot has changed (probably has) or if they tend to be undersized. I also have wide feet and I highly recommend the wider width if you tend to be wider than normal. I tried three pairs: my usual 10.5W; 11N; and 11W. The 11W fit perfectly (for running-fit recommendations). The build quality seems quite good as well.

I replaced my ride 7's with these, and if anything they are more comfortable and supporting than the 7's. Great fit and great shoe, third pair and still think they are the best for my flat feet!

I couldn't get the fit and drop I wanted from any current support shoes. I've been seriously for about 4 years now and decided to venture into Neutral territory. The 8mm drop and smooth platform on these, coupled with the everrun insole are perfect for my flat hobbit feet. They aren't the lightest in the world, but have really good forefoot cushioning, which might feel firm at first but it really does feel good on a long run. My only complaint (which has always been a gripe of mine w/ Saucony) : Too narrow. I have wide feet but the upper accommodates them within reason, I just have to keep the laces super loose except where I tie them, that's where I pull tight with a squirrel loop. They seem super durable as far as I can tell, I'm about 130 miles in.

I'd also recommend: New Balance, ASICS
