Not too little or too much padding, comfy in the toe box even for wider feet, no pressure point below the ankle joint, outsole not as rigid as the other trail running shoes. I go trail running every day, and until now have only used street running shoes, as trail running shoes don't usually offer enough shock absorption, and I find the outsole so rigid that it hurts my feet. The outsole on these shoes is not as rigid and thus more comfortable to have on your feet. The only time my feet hurt is when I wore these shoes from morning until well into the night. Therefore, I would only recommend them for running, but maybe not for all-day wear. For that, I would go with something much more padded. My feet are somewhat wide in the front, and these don't squeeze my toes together. The laces can be stuck in a little pouch, and they never come undone. And: these are the only sneakers I constantly get compliments on from both guys and gals. I have not used a different pair of sneakers since I bought these. I hope the upgrade to these will have a black outsole, though. What's with the white?!

I had such high hopes for these shoes. Finally no girly plum/white/aqua/pink colors and they came in the size that I would usually order from Saucony - an 11½ (too bad there was no narrow option). They are so disappointing. The 11½ was too small. I could feel my toes touch the end of the shoe once I put my extra insoles in to take up width. I returned them to try the 12 and they were way too long. Also the tongue was so skinny it pulled out of the laces and the pocket for the laces was oddly long and bulky.

I walk 4-5 miles a day on streets and in the desert. I have a difficult time finding a shoe that lives up to my expectations for comfort, fit and wear.I wanted to order the Progrid Peregrine 2 (which I have had 3 pairs of) they are the best, but they were not available in my size. So I ordered 3 pairs of "other" trail running shoes-They failed to give me the great fit of the Peregrines. So I decided to try the Xodus 3.0. AHHHHHHHHH!! The extreme comfort as my foot slid into a well supported yet cushy shoe. Do I dare say, more comfortable and supportive than the Peregrine. Heel pain gone, lower back pain, eased. These shoes are fantastic. I thank Zappos for putting up with my finicky behavior. Free shipping both ways, order them one day they will arrive the next day, no hassles, they are the best. Save time and money by shopping with Zappos.

I love them! Super comfortable! Superb support! I have plantar fasciitis in my feet and Saucony shoes have maximized support and minimized my pain! Typically expensive but an awesome deal on Zappos!

I use these shoes for running dog agility. They are comfortable to wear for 12 hours or more. They give great traction in grass or dirt.
