I recently bought these in green and I really like them. The one negative (for me) is that they have a slightly lower profile than my previous Saucony trail shoes. And, since I have to wear inserts (Power Step Pinnacle, which are kind of thick), this makes my foot sit higher in the shoe and makes these not so good for trail running - too easy to roll my ankle. But, I still really like them - I wear them to the gym and around town and they look good!

One of the best looking shoes ever! Also great on the trails. I just used these to run on some trails in Utah and they were awesome. They aren't the lightest shoes in the world, but they are lighter then some of the other trail shoes that I have owned.

I feel this is an awesome trail running shoe, but I had a string pull through one of the eyelets. I was able to repair it being a hands on person though a problem like that after 20 miles on the treadmill mill and about 15 miles running around base is annoying. I kept them because they are really nice on rough terrain and they have really nice shock absorbing rubbery material for the soles that will not pancake like foam. Outstanding service especially for going through military mail. Thank you Zappos.

This is a great trail running, hiking shoe. It feels like walking on a sturdy cloud. I have to admit, I am starting to wear this just around town, rather than for their intended purpose. Great shoe.

I purchased these shoes for the strict purpose of playing disc golf, have had some trouble in the past with durability and thought these shoes looked pretty tough. Took them out for their first 2-day tourney and they held up great. My usage may not be typical but if you are looking for a comfortable, light, durable shoe that can handle the outdoors I would take a serious look at the Xodus 2.0.

Excellent trail shoe and complement to other Sauconys for the road. I run 30-40 miles a week, 70% in Saucony ProGrid Hurricane 12s, the the Xodus feel very similar, with a touch less stability control. Vibram sole is very sticky and grips well, even when very wet. Ran 10 miles through the rain "right out of the box" on the first day with no problems - no hotspots, no blisters. Great addition to any runners array of footwear.

About me. I've run several half marathons over the last few years. I'm not very fast, my best recent time was 2:01 for a half. I am 37, about 6' tall and weigh 195lbs. I've recently started trail running and run on a mix of single track, rooty, rocky and hard pack trails in the Bay Area. For the last several years I've been running in my Asics Nimbus 12's. I've used the Nimbus for the last 3 years or so and have had no complaints. For shorter runs I'll often wear my Nike Free 7.0s. I've only run trails in my Asics. After a 21K and some longer trail runs, I've started to think I need some trail shoes. I was mainly looking for something with more foot protection and a lower profile, but by and large a running feel. The ProGrid Xodus 2.0 felt good out of the box with a slightly lower profile than my Nimbus. I opted to go with the stock sockliner rather than the Superfeet that I typically use with my Asics. I was able to take them out on a sloppy, rainy, muddy day for an 8.5 mile run. For the first few miles my feet felt a bit sore, but I assume that was just me adjusting to the new shoes. I adjusted the lacing. Around mile 4 the soreness dissipated. (Again, I'm also going to try them soon with the Superfeet.) A few things really stood out to me about the Xodus. First off, Grip. I didn't realize how much grip I could actually get from a shoe. These were an amazing improvement from my road shoes and inspired confidence, especially on some of the steeper downhills. They felt good on slippery rock or loose dirt. They also did quite well in mud. Unlike the Nimbus, they seemed to shed mud quite well and didn't get stuck as would sometimes happen with the Nimbus. In terms of stability, they were also quite effective. The shoe felt snug and connected to my foot. No slop at all. Can't speak to durability since I haven't used them more than once. I'll update the review once I have more on that front. I'm also hoping to use them for a 30K trail run next weekend. Here's hoping they'll deliver.

The Xodus 2.0 is an improvement over the 1.0, especially its more flexible and breathable upper. The sole and midsole are similar between both versions -- very sturdy, stiff, grippy, and excellent for rough and muddy terrain. The Xodus 2.0 is a very specialized shoe -- it is best suited for the trails (both running and hiking), but not recommended for the road or mixed use.

Update. I used these on a 30k trail race. The good: No blisters. Shed mud well. (it was a very muddy race). Great rock protection. They are quite snug. The bad: They are quite stiff. About 2 miles into the race the back of the heel was putting a lot of pressure on my calcaneus (the bone in the back of your foot). That's a real downer. I wish these were a bit more comfortable. If I hadn't absolutely covered them in mud, I'd probably return them.

The Saucony Xodus 2.0 is unreal. Most likely the best shoe ever put on my feet. Fits perfect, arch support is stellar. May buy a second pair!

This shoe was made for underpronators or neutral-gait runners. If you are not those types, this shoe might not be comfortable. The insoles will give you some pain into your arches. Come on, Saucony! Make some good trail running shoes for overpronators, too. More than 70% of Americans are overpronators!

I am a 37 year old male who runs on average 25-30 miles a week. I run on all surfaces including trail running. I am very impressed with the Saucony ProGrid Xodus 2.0. The Vibram sole is a step up. This shoe is light and has excellent grip on all surfaces. It is not the best shoe for treadmills but is superior when it comes to outdoor and trail running. Its unique design holds your foot stable during crazy trail ascents and the sole just won't slip. The shoe is well made and holds up to the punishment of water, mud, dirt, rain, and cold. The only negative is the crazy colors. I don't feel like a clown in them, but they definitely get noticed. All in all, an excellent shoe.

This shoe is very well made but not too flashy. The heel cup is a tad bit roomy with an overall fit best suited for a mid to low volume foot. They will accommodate a pair of Super Feet or your orthotics. Nice cushioning in the midsole but at the same time gives you a connected feel to the trail. I have worn lots of shoes with Vibram outsoles which are the best in the world but they missed on this one. These shoes do not do well on technical trails and best suited for the lighter stuff. No off camber or lateral grip due to the compact spacing and uniform tread design. Overall a nice comfortable shoe that will last a while.

These are the worst trail running shoes I have ever bought. They are very stiff and they don't have enough cushioning. Also, grip is not good as much as Saucony advertised.

OK, I admittedly bought these shoes because I thought they looked cool. They are actually extremely comfortable, good for those of us with narrow feet and fairly lightweight. They are also very sturdy in their construction. I am happy I purchased them.
