I never write reviews on products, but I write this one in hopes that it will help someone make a correct decision. While I was shopping for shoes to wear to the Virginia Tough Mudder, I looked everywhere and couldn't find a review from anyone that had worn any of the shoes I was interested in during a mud run. So, I read, watched, and looked at reviews of various shoes and I settled on the Saucony ProGrid Outlaw. It was the right choice. They were perfect for the muddy and sometimes frozen terrain that I was on during the challenge. They have excellent support, drainage and my feet didn't get that cold (Wore inov8 socks). And when the challenge was over, they cleaned up like new ! I will continue to wear them until they breakdown and then I will buy another pair! Thanks for your time!

At first they felt uncomfortable, but then I realized that it was the higher upper that I was just not used to. The shoes are comfortable, prevent my ankles from rolling, and have helped me to consistently run three plus miles each time I have worn them.

These are more light hiking boots than running shoes. I bought them for use on the Manitou incline and they work well for that and running down the Barr Trail on Pikes Peak. I plan to use them in a Trail Ultra this summer, update to follow...

These shoes are great for trail running. Their traction is ridiculous and they are very comfortable. I was concerned about the mid height not being enough for my weak ankles but after a few weeks of wearing these, I'm happy to say my ankles are adequately supported. They felt uncomfortably snug at first but once they break in they feel awesome.

Love the shoe, great for trail running and not bad on the road, fairly light and still good support. I'm going to buy another pair. I love trail running and this shoe is perfect for me.
